The hotel was clean and well furnished, the staff was really helpful in everything, it was abt 4-5 minutes walking distance to the metro station, which is in Hero square and 3-4 minutes walking distance to another metro station. Breakfast was not very tasty, but fair enough. Generally it was really good.

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights last November. The only bad point is that the bathrooms look very dated but everything works just fine. The staff are very pleasant and the breakfasts were fairly good. I would use this hotel again if I was with my mates again, but I'm afraid that my wife would not be... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night and we booked a double room based on two reasons: low price and excelent location (close to Heroes Square). So we overlooked the fact that the hotel is outdated, with rooms reminding of the 80s and basic facilities. But we didn't expect that in the room and throughout the entire hotel to... More

This hotel was recommended by Hungarian friends and it turned out to be a good choice. Just a couple of stops from the wonderful Opera House on the quaintest and easiest Metro system I've ever encountered. It's not luxury, and even a tiny bit Soviet in feel and appearance, but it's clean, convenient and reasonably efficient. Don't expect gushing service,... More

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights in October 2014. The hotel was in a good location for Andrassy Street, Heroes Square and Szechenyi Baths all were within walking distance. It was very clean, the staff helpful and the decor dated. The beds were comfortable and the duvets very thin, but we weren't cold. We ate in the... More

Ok hotel and breakfast very good. First room was a bit dark (only other room had window) but staff agreed to change room without any problems. Hotel is only couple of hundred meters away from Budapest Marathon finish line which makes location excellent for runners.

the hotel is situated just perfectly near The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath (10/15 min stroll), in a lovely, quiet street. the Staff at the hotel - professional and helpful. breakfast at 9Euros - well worth it as the selection was large and the quality of food good. the room - a big let down. the bathroom has 70-style brown tiles and... We stayed at the Benczur for 3 nights at the end of Sept. 2014. It's situated approx 10 mins walk from Heroes Square and Andrassy Street. The hotel room quite basic, but had everything we needed including a free safe and a mini-bar/fridge. The beds were comfortable and very clean, but the quilts were quite thin - good job the... More

The hotel is perfectly situated near heroes square and the metro. The room was clean, the breakfast adequate and the staff was PHENOMENAL. We had a problem with the safe in the room, but we used the hotel safe, so it was a mild inconvenience. The wifi was strong in the room and the bathroom, with hairdryer, was excellent. There... We were booked here on recommendation of Hungarian Bird Watching. What a wonderful place to spend a few nights. Comfortable rooms, accommodating staff, food service for morning an evening was excellent. The neighborhood is quiet, pleasant, and convenient to transportation.
