I have been coming to Budapest for a few years and have not found a fully satisfying hotel yet. Mercure Korona belongs to the lower average category in my view. The best thing about the hotel is its location right on the Kecskemeti utca which has been recently turned into partially pedestrian zone and is full of nice bars and... More

OK hotel (friendly staff, clean rooms, good location) but there were two attributes that were not very relaxing: 1. Logistics in the building. I stayed in Building B and had to take the lift to the third floor, walk over a bridge and take a second lift to my 8th floor. Hard to find the stairs (emergency stairs) and congested... More

Stayed two nights on business and this hotel was really nice. Would also be a great place to stay for a trip and for sight-seeing. Breakfast was a buffet, very good and well stocked. The location is excellent. I had no complaints at all. More

The location of the hotel is excellent just next to the metro kelvin ter. A good 10 min walk to the city center. Plenty of good restaurants around. The only drawback is the size of the room. It is extreme small. The staff at the reception are very helpful. More

Dear ALZ00, Thank you for your feedback on TripAdvisor. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. Our hotel really has a good location, just 25 min from the airport, near to the National Museum, the Great Market Hall, the Váci and Ráday street. The city's cultural, architectural sights, amusement places and touristic attractions are within walking distance. Thank... More

I have just stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a business trip. I had a privilege room with a nice view to the city. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the privilege breakfast room in the bridge bar and eating breakfast whilst watching Budapest awake. Well located for business or pleasure and just a short walk to the river... More

Dear 855Traveller, Thank you for your comment on TripAdvisor. I am pleased to read you were satisfied with our hotel during your stay. You are right, our Bridge Bar has a unique panorama of the busiest square in the city where our Privilege guests can enjoy the breakfast in the mornings, and in lunchtime we are waiting for the guests... When booking the hotel it was a toss up between this hotel and another closer to the river, I picked this one based upon reviews, and the whole look of the hotel and I am very glad I did. This hotel was superb, the high standard of the hotel was throughout. The bedroom was immaculate with a large bed, kitted... More

Three night stay at hotel. We had pre-booked a mini-suite to include two additional children's beds. Upon arrival only one bed was in place; when second bed turned up it was so old and proved so uncomfortable it could not be used. Following day the bed was replaced - with no apology from reception. No bath (actually there was if... More

We were on a business trip and found the hotel very good. It is also at a good location. The staff was very frendly and helpfull. The only concern was that the reserved taxi dirver to the airport was 15 minutes late, but we made it ok still. When we left they asked for feedback and I told them I... More
