The location of the InterCon Budapest is probably one of its best features. It is located right on the river which makes everything very accessable. I would highly reccommend trying to get a river view room if possible as the views are amazing especially at night when all of the lights of the castle are on. The spa and gym... More

We stayed for a very brief 2 nights at the beginning of a 16 night trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had a 6th floor room overlooking the Danube and the Chain Bridge. I think this may go down as one of the best view rooms we have ever had! The location was ideal, the room was spotless and... More

We visited this hotel in Ocotober 2010 for a conference. The hotel was at full capacity and absolutely packed with people in suits. That said the rooms were comfortable - especially the bed. Staff were efficent and friendly Located on the banks of the Danube, the hotel is within easy walk of the pedestrianised areas , where you'll finds lots... More

We stayed last year at a smaller hotel across the river. We had the same type of views but I would come back to the Intercontinental agan in a heartbeat. I would always go for the river view and I would also choose the club level. It is more money but it is worth it in that they have a... More

The Intercontinental Hotel was a truly beautiful well run hotel with the best location possible. We upgraded to a large extremely clean room on the river side with the stunning view of the Danube and a palace/castle atop a hill right across the river from us. We were blown away by the day and night views out our window. We... More

I stayed for 4 nights at the Intercontinetal partly for leisure partly for a conference I had to attend. The Intercontinental had a top class location on the Pest side of the Danube with stunning views on the city of Buda, the former Royal Place and Fisher's Bastion. Wife and I had stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights some 10-15 years ago as part of a business trip, and we had pleasant memories and high expectations. We upgraded to an executive level room and were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. The room was large and comfortable, with an amazing view of the Danube and Buda palace. I'm a fairly picky person, someone difficult to please - especially when booking hotels. I have to say that the service from the Intercontinental in Budapest was second to none.
