A beautiful hotel with perfect location.. Just a few meters from the river. 200m from the main walking street. Nearby public transportation. Fantastic breakfast. Nice rooms. Extra charge for a room with a river view.

Travelled over for a long weekend with a group of friends which happened to fall on my birthday. The service from check in until check out could not be faulted. Location of hotel was perfect for exploring both sides of the city. Although we were only on the second floor the view from our room was spectacular and overlooked Chain... More

Hard to complain really. I wouldn't normally pay for this class of hotel but on a group trip we needed to keep everyone happy so we looked for a good rate. The views are outstanding from the river view rooms - if you don't have a river view I would question choosing to stay here. Breakfast is fantastic. Service everywhere... More

We booked and paid 6 months in advance to get 2 Exec rooms for 4 nights with good views of bridge and river. We though we would pay the extra to ensure we got the best possible. WRONG We got only one room on Exec floor with great view of bridge and river only if you looked hard right, view... More

Perfect location when visiting Budapest. Great views or the Danube and across the river to the Buda side. The rooms are nice and clean and bathrooms are a decent size. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly. Concierge service was very helpful and made great dining recommendations. Request a room on a higher floor for a great view.

Chain hotels, even those charging high prices, often fail totally to deliver a personal service. The Sofitel in Budapest and its staff were outstanding. In addition, breakfast was great, and its location couldn't be bettered.

This hotel is located conveniently with convenient access to the Danube river, and stunning view of the Chain Bridge, the land mark of Budapest. Service is excellent and the friendly courteous staff is at your service 24x7. The breakfast spread is out of this world! You better stay at least three days in order to try out everything on offer.... More

The Danube views are spectacular! The rooms were fine with good amenities, but I expected better service from a 5 star hotel. On our first full day we returned to the room at 3:30PM, tired from a bike tour and jet lagged. The room had not been serviced. We phoned for service, and were told they would respond right away.... This hotel has the best view in Budapest. Its a very well-designed, well-decorated and well-located hotel. Their breakfast is good: tasty food, good variety. I used to be a recurring guest and used to stay at this hotel whenever I visit Budapest. Sorrily, I will be, most probably, staying in an another hotel during my next visit to Budapest. The... More

We stayed at this hotel for a 4 night break and found it had an excellent location for travelling on foot around both Buda and Pest. The hotel staff were efficient yet friendly. Our room overlooked the Danube and the view was amazing. Room was bright and airy with a big front window for the great view, plus the bed... More
