This hotel is good for the price. The room and bathroom was very clean. The staff was polite and friendly, and they helped me with when I had questions. The hotel is facing the river but also a big road: My room was facing the yard = a quiet room. Was here at a conference in the city center. Although... more

hotel staff is not friendly :( rooms are cramped, its seems designer didn't have an idea how to organize the space in a convenient way location is ok, not exactly at the city center, but the tram stop is only few steps away, so you reach the center in 10 minutes breakfasts are good more

I ve stayed there for 3 nights at September of 2005 with my cousin. The room was nice and clean althought the maids didn't understand thw word "pillow" when i wanted an extra one! At the reception the staff was little annoyed tha they had to speak to us in English(!!!) but besides that they were helpfull. The thing is... more

We arrived in Budapest and drove around looking for a hotel - I suspect that is why we didn't get a good price for the room, as we walked off the street. Because of the price, we only stayed one night. The room/hotel was modern and clean, much cleaner that other 2 star hotels. Felt like a 3 star room... more

As a part of my job I have to travel a regularly around Europe and stay manly in budget 3-4 star hotels. I am certainly not picky and always bear in mind the price of a hotel room before judging it. However, I do have to say that the Mercure Budapest Duna, is one of the worst places I have... more

Mercure Duna is a Very Nice Hotel, it is a Budget 3 stars Hotel, Very Clean, very good Breakfast Buffet which has it all. Very helpful staff, and the location is fine , regarding that the main Tram station is just in the front of the Hotel. Taxi's ar easy to get. The area are full of restaurants, and it... more

Myself and my friends stayed here for a stag night and I have to agree with the other reviewer that it was perfect for that purpose. The lobby area is large with plenty of seating for those beers before hitting the town. The hotel is clean and despite my expectation is quite modern and in a good location near the... more

In our travels to Europe, this was the second time a hotel cancelled or 'lost' our reservation that we had made weeks and weeks ahead of time. We were to spend our last night in Budapest at this hotel. When we arrived to check in the Manager was waiting for us to tell us my credit card had not gone... more

I just got back from a stag weekend in Budapest. We stayed at the Duna, which is misrepresented on most websites as a 2 star hotel. It is most definately a 3 star hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean and the hotel staff are very friendly and accomodating. The included breakfast buffet is also very good with a... more

Not in a particularly pretty part of Budapest but taxi's are easily available anyway. Rooms are very small but clean and normal shower facilities. How much time do you spend in your room anyway? Breakfast buffet was 6/10 it filled a hole. Bar facilities 6/10 but found Lazslo behind reception very helpful and he spoke perfect english. Pointed us towards... more
