I came here not by my choice but I was not disapointed. I stayed here three times, on both sides of the hotel and I can tell you this: No matter on what side do you have your room, the view is spectacular. On one side you have the Danube and the Parliament, which especially at night, is quite a... More

Friendly staff, very good location, excellent breakfast. The hotel has a garage, too, where I put my car and explored the city by public transport. Not only the breakfast offer, but the place, where you spend the breakfast time is unique.

Stayed here for one night in January. The great! Well it's on the river. About 30 minutes from the airport. On the Buda side. It's interior is sort of Art Deco inspired. But over bearing. The ladies on reception were just brilliant. Quick but friendly. Made me fee welcome straight away. A credit to the hotel. The room was modern... More

Stayed here for 3 nights with some friends in Nov 2014 (sorry for the late review). Room was huge and comfortable for 3 people. Great location opposite the Parliament and by the river. Excellent view of the Parliament, and walking distance to Matthias church. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Spoke good English. Strong wifi signal. Will certainly come back... More

Well situated right on the side of the river, art'otel will be the perfect base for any city-trip in Budapest. Clean, well presented, well staffed and well equipped, this hotel gives beautiful views out the front towards the chain bridge and parliament building, or out the back to fisherman's bastion. Close to city busses and local food, the hotel also... More

Great hotel with good views, lovely well equipped rooms, good location (although personally staying across in Pest is better). Although i didn't eat here, the bar is spacious with river views, the breakfast room/restaurant was in a lovely conservatory, also there is a very pretty patio/courtyard where i looked over with envy at people having a lovely relaxing breakfast in... We spent two nights at the Art'otel Budapest. Our room was in the second building so did not have a view; however, the room was really spacious, as well as being clean and tidy. As other reviewers have mentioned, even wth a king bed you are still given two single size doonas. But the bed was super comfy, which made... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
