This is why tripadviser is so good. I followed the recommendations of earlier reviewers and was suitably rewarded with a really enjoyable stay in this super hotel in a prime location offering great value. Well it certainly felt like it as we received a free room upgrade which enjoyed the most wonderful views of the Danube and across to the... More

My wife and I enjoyed a 3 night stay here at the beginning of August in an Art plus room - room 624 to be precise. Check in was friendly & efficient if a little lacking in information. Room was a good size with an OK sized bathroom. As others have mentioned the Air-con is not particularly good but was... More

We stayed at Art’Otel as part of a birthday celebration, we were upgraded complimentary to a room with a majestic view of the river Danube and the Parliament. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Friendly and helpful staff and special thanks to Katarin who gave us a warm welcome on arrival and Melinda who I believe made our hotel accommodation... More

The staff was friendly, jovial and helpful. We had a danube-facing room. The view was excellent. The saty very comfortable. The breakfast was a lavish spread - even for vegetarians. Although most of the cool things are across the river, on the Pest side, the view was worth it. It was also very handy to stay close to the Hungarian... More

Walking distance to the castle district and great views of Parliament if you get rooms on the river side. Breakfast was a great spread of hot and cold dishes and the courtyard is very cosy. Grab a room x12 or x23 to get the end of the hall ways.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
