Nice hotel with lovely staff but rooms don't match up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Warn carpets, very thin pillows & sheets. Uncomfortable beds. Very noisy on the street side (which we were). Breakfast was very limited & not to our taste. Good location & cheaply priced (you get what you pay for)

We were put in this hotel for one night because our reservation in our hotel started one day later. The King Hotel is located in a quiet street. Close to many attractions. It is an old hotel and much upgrade is needed. Breakfast was bland, although the setting inside and on the terrace was nice. The most remarkable thing about... More

Great hotel, very clean. Beds are comfy but pillows are a but low as you only get one but the mattresses are really sleep in-able. The staff are friendly and will great you with a smile and are happy to help out. You can book/ buy tickets for a variety of things from the actual hotel, we didn't but it... More

Excellent location and friendly staff, who went the extra mile when required, breakfast basic but filling, rooms a bit dated and shabby but clean and spotless bathrooms, carpets etc require a refresh but i was not there for the decor. very enjoyable stay

We visited the King's hotel during the middle of June. It is well situated BUT it is very old and outdated. The place cries for some upgrade. The carpet in the room was really worn out and looks very dirty. Very small tv with local channels only. THE BREAKFAST- the breakfast

Position of the hotel is the only good thing!!! for the rest it is old, very darkness, breakfast was ok, but my room was without window small and i don't feel comfortable. I suggest to choose another hotel in the near by even adding a small difference because this is cheap but not good.

Although I found the pillows exceeding uncomfortable, and woke with a headache, I have nothing but praise for the staff. We left our medicine container behind, and they went out of their way to make sure we got it back, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was very nice, location was good, price was even better.

The staff were super friendly and it's within walking distance of all sights. The breakfast is a bit mediocre, and the tv has local stations only. Overall we reallly enjoyed the 2 nights we had there!

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing two nights at this hotel. A better description of this hotel is 1 star from the rooms and 3 star from the hotel lobby. This hotel is by far the worst I have ever stopped. The rooms are very dated, old, very old furniture in the rooms and chair broken in the room ,... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
