Be careful not to book on 4 & 5'th floors: Small rooms, very high and small window 70 cm. diameter, with no outside view. My wife could not sleep there, yet they did not find a replacement room for 1'st day. Only on the 2'nd day they changed it for a room with areguler window on 1'st floor. No elevator... More

The hotel is situated in the walking distance to the city center. Hotel staff are always eager to help. Wi-fi is working properly, breakfast is delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

I stayed at King's hotel with my friend. The staff was very helpful an all of them spoke perfect English. They were all trying to make our stay memorable. Only thing I did not like was that check in started at 3 p.m and check out was at 11 a.m. The food at breakfast was OK and you have an... More

A nice establishment in a shadowy street is King's Hotel first impression to a traveler. However, the location and the neighbourhood are central and safe. Only two blocks from the Kiraly street full of pubs and restaurants, and four blocks to the right to Andrassy street famous for the amount of boutique stores from that extends from the ferrywheel park... We came to Budapest for Formula 1 race and for sightseeing. So hotel was supposed only for sleep and breakfast. We lived here for almost a week. We reserved a room for 3 (including a child), they put us on the attic floor without elevator with a rather dangerous staircase. The breakfast was edible. Bread, eggs, cucumbers, jam, tea, coffee... Nice hotel with lovely staff but rooms don't match up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Warn carpets, very thin pillows & sheets. Uncomfortable beds. Very noisy on the street side (which we were). Breakfast was very limited & not to our taste. Good location & cheaply priced (you get what you pay for)

We were put in this hotel for one night because our reservation in our hotel started one day later. The King Hotel is located in a quiet street. Close to many attractions. It is an old hotel and much upgrade is needed. Breakfast was bland, although the setting inside and on the terrace was nice. The most remarkable thing about... More

Great hotel, very clean. Beds are comfy but pillows are a but low as you only get one but the mattresses are really sleep in-able. The staff are friendly and will great you with a smile and are happy to help out. You can book/ buy tickets for a variety of things from the actual hotel, we didn't but it... More

Excellent location and friendly staff, who went the extra mile when required, breakfast basic but filling, rooms a bit dated and shabby but clean and spotless bathrooms, carpets etc require a refresh but i was not there for the decor. very enjoyable stay

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
