King's Hotel is a budget hotel. Breakfast is enough for us. There are several cafes, bars and groceries around. I recommend cafe "Burger&Beer" that a few steps to hotel for dinner. You can reach many important places by foot. The room was very small but the bed was comfortable. It is easy to access from airport. Wifi was good. If... More

This hotel is basic and a bit dated in the rooms BUT you get what you pay for. It was in a great location for some of the best bars in the area. If your on a budget then it's fine but if you can spare a few more quid then search round as our friends had a hotel nearby... More

We stayed here in the summer, because we went a day to Sziget, but we also wanted to see Budapest. It was a little above our budget but a welcome change from sharing a bathroom with many people. Breakfast was tasty but you had to be quit because otherwise all the good food was gone. It was near the center,... More

The hotel was ok, bedrooms a little dark. We got there at night and the doors were already closed, it was hard to find the place at night. Wifi worked better at the hotel reception. Breakfast was ok and the location is good if you want to use public transportation! We paid 50 euros for a 2 people bedroom, a... More

what I liked about king`s hotel: it`s located in a quiet street but close to center. the staff is very polite and helpful. 24h reception desk. (for Jewish visitores: it`s very close to all of jewish interests; for Shomer Shabbos, all the doors in the hotel are non-electric.)

There for 4 night break with fella. Bad timing as last 2 nights the place was full of students on a break too. Just too bad they had no regard for others trying to sleep at night! To be fair the staff tried to deal with it but sleep ruined. Other than that it was clean had comfy bed. Great... More

A well placed hotel 10 or so minutes from the centre of Budapest. Rooms were very clean, bathrooms spotless and cleaned daily. The carpets had seen better days and were stained and worn. The decor rather spartan and lacking in colour. The beds were surprisingly comfortable given their rather squeeky and elderly demeanor. The staff were polite but not really... More

The location is ok. The wifi in the room was awful. The staff very very pleasant. The shower had a strong gliw although the temperature was fluctuating. Bed was very little for 2 people. Generally i feel ok for this place. You pay little, don't expect much!

I had a room at the back so no traffic or street noise but the corridors are uncarpeted so all sound echoes around, conversation, doors banging etc. It's a partying area so people are coming back at all hours which would be OK if the walls weren't made of cardboard. Then there's the plumbing, every time someone flushes a toilet... More

It is in a convenient place for many bars, cafes and restaurants. It is about a 15 / 20 mins lake to main shopping area / river. The lobby and breakfast areas were of a good standard but the room we had the decoration was a bit tired and the carpet had quite a few marks / stains although the... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
