Recently spent 4 nights in this hotel. Location: The Kempinski is situated in central Pest which is a great place from which to begin exploring the city. The hotel is about a 30 minute taxi journey from Terminal 1. Most major tourist sites are within walking distance (Chain Bridge/Gellert Hill). The main metro station (Deak Ferenc Ter) , where all... more

I stayed here for two weeks while working in Budapest and for four days I was sick in bed. I remember thinking at the time that it was a really comfortable place in which to be sick. The rooms are large - if your room is facing the street you get a sofa, but if your room is facing the... more

Less than 300 yards from hotel I was scamed at a bar with extremley overprice drinks. Bar run by mob, found out after made police report. Come to find out its a known problem but police are useless. Hotel gave no warnings, I feel they should take care of customer better. Never staying here again. more

Keep checking the hotel web site and that of Small Luxury Hotels to find the lowest prices for this luxury hotel. We paid $200/night with amazing breakfast buffet and free access to spa and health club. The hotel is upscale luxury. The standard room was quite roomy, the bathrooms marble. The hotel was within walking distance to most of sites... more

Stayed for 2 weeks on business in summer of 2007 - enjoyed the breakfast and convenience of being next to the underground station. Only problem for me was the tv channels were mostly in german. more

First the plus: cleanliness of the rooms, quietness of the hotel, very good location, very friendly staff, gorgeous breakfast. Minus: Well, don't you think smoking permit in the lobby is so 90's? more

Since we don't often stay in hotels of this caliber, we were just blown away by how spectacular this place is. This is definitely one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and large, the whole hotel was gorgeous and modern. Although I believe this was the only hotel we stayed in... more

We stayed at the Kempinski the night before our Danube river cruise embarked; we were impressed. Service was excellent and the hotel was immaculately clean. The free breakfast buffet was unbelievable with every kind of food very beautifully presented. The hotel room was really nice with a very large marble bathroom that was luxurious. On top of that, the hotel... more

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Can't beat location, beautiful rooms, amazing staff. I was there on my own on an extended business trip at the end of 2005. The staff did an amazing job of making me feel at home in a big hotel during my 2 month stay. I don't want to go into too much detail, but service is absolutely... more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights end of March 2009. Hotel was especially clean, elegant, with attentive housekeeping, and front desk personnel who were able to secure sold-out opera tickets for us. Called down for an electric converter and it was delivered within 3 minutes at 11PM!!. Nightly turn down service with recheck of towels, etc. by housekeeping...slippers and... more
