We stayed there one night and had a great view from the room over the river Danube. Breakfast, garage are available as well. City center within walking distance. The hotel is situated in a safe area called Buda. Rooms and bathrooms are fully renovated and very comfortable with ambient light, flat screen Tv, hairdryer and many extras.Good value for money compared... More

We returned for the second time as a family to the Victoria last week. Fabulous view from our room on the 5th floor looking out over the Danube. The room was spotless with the most storage I've ever had in a hotel room. Very good location the centre, although you don't have to go far to find good restaurants close to... More

The views of the Danube and Parliament are awesome. The room is small but held twin beds and all our "stuff" quite well. It has USB plugs making recharging several items easy. The staff was helpful, the breakfasts delicious, location good since it is close to the Chain Bridge. It was very clean too. I recommend and would stay there... More

The best thing about the hotel is that every room faces the Danube. Our room had big windows overlooking the river and the parliament view during different times of the day was simply stunning. The breakfast selections, offered by the hotel, were quite limited, however.

We stayed for just 1 night in July 2015 and the hotel really lives up to the advanced publicity. The hotel is located centrally to all amenities just a stroll away over the chain bridge . The room was clean and bright , with a large picture window looking out onto the Danube and the Architectural delights of Budapest. Air... More

Loved our four nights at this boutique hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice large rooms with fabulous views of the river. We were lucky enough to be there during the Red Bull World Championship air races. Watched them fly under Chain Bridge to tackle the slalom course -- amazing, to say the least! Breakfast included was okay.

Stayed for a couple of nights and would recommend. Great location on the Danube, clean and spacious rooms. Hotel staff very good and helpful. Located near a number of restaurants and bars so plenty of choice and close to tourist bus stop for other attractions.

I must admit I haven't reviewed the hotel Victoria because we wanted to keep it our little secret! But will! It is by far our favorite hotel in Europe. We will never stay anywhere else in Budapest. The price is fine, the breakfast superb, the staff incredible... But above all the view! People talk about sitting in bars or restaurants... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
