My boyfriend and I stayed here for six nights (7/1 - 7/7, 2008). It was a short walk to get to the Chain Bridge and the Elizabeth Bridge, but it was completely worth it considering the price, the quality of the accommodations, and that a good breakfast and wireless internet were included. We walked all over the city anyway and... more
My wife and I found this place at the last minute over the internet. The location is out of the city, but is a short walk over the bridge. The people running the place are very helpful and hospitable. The rooms are adequate and fairly priced. I found the hotel overall to be quite comfortable, but somewhat plain. This really... more
In a quiet location near castle hill. clean rooms and good staff. good breakfasts with good choice of items. try the restaurant at the back of the hotel, great food, reasonably priced. good for couples. budapest is big and spread out, take walking shoes as there is plenty of walking to do. i recommend the bus trips around budapest, with... more
Great location just by Elizabeth bridge on the Buda side. Nearest metro station about 5 mins walk but as my husband and I love walking we hardly bothered with public transport. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Lovely buffet breakfast served up until 10am which was a lot more civilised than some places we've stayed!! Next time we visit Budapest,... more
Spent 15 days in Europe, this was one of the best hotel we stayed in. The Great-- Location, Location, Location-- Its at the foot of the Buda Castle complex (UNSECO site). 197 steps to the castle, 1/8th of mile to the Donau. Price-- Yeah, its expensive BUT you get free internet (14 Euro value) and B-Fast (20 Euro value). Staff-... more
Well, “little” is the keyword in describing this hotel. In an ample contrast to the city it’s in. We stayed there for 3 nights this spring, in a triple room. Our triple room was indeed one of the smaller triples I’ve seen. The third bed would have to be rolled up, for us to be able to move around the... more
We chose this hotel as it seemed to give good value. The our room was clean and a reasonable size. The front desk staff were really helpful - they booked taxis and answered all of our questions. The mini-bar was unusually cheap and therefore useful. The only problem we had was that the windows don't open and our room was... more
Hotel Orion is a little gem (only about 35 rooms) in a beautiful city. It has a superb position - just one street back from the river on the Buda side, a short walk from the Elizabeth Bridge and at the foot of the Castle District. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the beds are comfy and the buffet... more
I stay in 4 star hotels all the time for work, this was a leisure trip. This hotel is a good location, just the other side of the river from the luxury hotels such as Intercontinental. Easy to get around - you can walk to all the main attractions. Get an Airport Minibus from the airport for 10 Euros each... more
