Our Habitat for Humanity team stayed here prior to heading out to Vac for our build, then again when we returned to Budapest for a few days. Having just splurged on 2 nights at the Hotel Corinthia a few blocks away, I was prepared to be let down by our budget hotel. No worries ... the Medosz was amazingly comfortable... More

We stayed at Medosz in July when it was hot. The A/C is great! The view of the park is fabulous, and the windows are wide and tall. The room isn't fancy (and we don't need a lot of extras) but it was clean, safe and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious (served on the 7th floor starting... More

I stayed at Medosz for 4 nights in July. The location was great, on the Pest side. A few minutes from a main tourist area near the Octogon. Plenty of great eating places, HOHO buses and public transport. You could easily walk to so many places - the river, Jewish Quarter etc. The area felt very safe. The room was... More

Good price for a nice hotel very-very well located: good communications, even if you decide to walk and right next to a pub area (and a 10-minute walk for another one even better). Functional without accessories. The rooms are quite big and if you have the opportunity to get the ones that show the street, the views are nice to... More

if it were only the location, very center Budapest, just off the main avenue of the city, 2 minutes walk from the party area, already a good choice. but then we found the top level penthouse rooms are just magnificent with the 360 degree panoramic view of Budapest.

The Medosz Hotel is facing a beautiful park in the center of Pest, and is extremely convenient to see all the sights, especially places like the Hungarian State Opera House, the Budapest Operetta Theatre, Franz Liszt Academy (not to be missed!), and museums. Good restaurants are everywhere around this hotel. The breakfast is a huge selection of good stuff, and... More

• Outstanding “no frills” hotel. Terrific value. It has everything I care about functionally: • Excellent location literally next to excellent dining and 2 short blocks from Metro • Clean and efficient. Everything works, including free wireless internet in room. • Room is a little Spartan but I have zero interest in paying more for “elegance” or features I don’t... More

This is a great hotel in Budapest. Nothing fancy, but great location and close to Franz Liszt Square with a lot of restaurants around the corner. One block away you have Oktogon and from there you can move quickly anywhere. in Budapest within 20 minutes with Metro or tram.

The location of the hotel is great Breakfast is good Rooms are clean The only problem was that the beds were not very comfortable. We had a double bed, the width of the bed was maybe less than a standard double bed, so we woke each other up with any small movement. The pillows were old and a bit uncomfortable... More

We stayed for three nights and were delighted by the experience. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. We reserved a garage for 12 Euros a day, which was a good decision because the public parking space can be scarce due to the vicinity of the Opera and generally rich night life in the neighbourhood of the hotel.
