I got there somewhere in the evening and I expected to check in quite quickly. But that wasn't the case. The clerk at the reception spoke a poor English and he was trying to explain that, in order to check in, even though the rooms were paid, I had to show him the credit card I used to pay for... more

Located in a central square, very close to the metro station. The hotel is very good, clean and big rooms. We stayed in the fifth floor, room 517.Very comfortable bed. The breakfast could be much better, but it was pretty good. The worst thing was that almost nobody spoke English!!!Not only in the hotel, but in some museums,in spas,in cafes...This is very very bad!!Next time... more

Stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. Very typical Ibis Hotel with very typical Ibis Room. Everything clean and tidy. very firm mattress. Wooden (laminate) flooring. Large shower, no bath. Flat screen TV with BBC World news channel. Location: right next to Heroes Square and the large Museums there. At least 45minutes walk into centre of town (river area).... more

This hotel is one of the new style ibis with wooden floors and upgraded interiors. The location is excellent - just across from the fine arts museum and minutes from the szechenyi baths, gundel and the park. We also felt perfectly safe walking round the neighbourhood at night. The Metro station is less than a 5 minute walk away. We... more

Although I have little to bad to say about this hotel, there is not much good either. First it's location is excellent, just minutes from the baths, two museums, national art gallery, the metro & an ice rink in winter. It is clean & has efficient staff. The room was spacious. The down side is, the hotel is very impersonal,... more

I agree - good hotel, everything is new. The hotel and rooms are clean. The room is bigger then rooms in ather ibis's hotel. Tthere is no nice restaurants or a markets in walking distance - you have to use metro or bus. You will hear a noise after opening the window. The breakfast is poor and not worth 9 euros.... more

We just came back from a 5-nights stay at the Ibis Hotel Heroes Square Budapest and want to share our satisfaction with this hotel. The Ibis are a "low cost" hotel chain, but this doesn't mean that you have to give up on the cleanliness of the rooms. What you don't get are some services like minibar and room service.... more

We stayed at Ibis Heroes Square in december 2007. From the hotel to the city center the ride takes about 10 minutes by subway. We had a room at the last floor and the view was beautiful. Ocasionally we had breakfast in the hotel and we were pleased with it. The stuff is kind and helpful. more

I'm not sure why this hotel is rated a **** star, at best it's a ***star. We were to stay for 5 nights but found alternate arrangements after just one. Our room was dingy with three single beds (we asked for a double bed + a single). The carpets needed cleaning, but the worst part was the mold on the... more
