Stayed at Pilvax for the second time. If I go back to Budapest I will stay here again. Best of all are the location. Very central, only 200 meters from Vaci Utca (main street in Budapest). Great location on a quiet pedestrianized street off the main shopping area and short walk to many of the main attractions. The room was basic but up to standard, everything you need but nothing fancy. Breakfast was the basic continental, again nothing fancy but it did the job. We were very pleased to stay in this nice and clean hotel. For the 3 stars it is an excellent choice: very well centered in the city (close to the Vaci utca and metro station), and the staff was very kind and helpfull, really going the second mile. A good value for the money in a great central location. However, the staff admits the wifi internet is down and has been for a while. Staff was able to refer me to an internet cafe about two blocks away for 230HUF per hour, but no compensation was offered for this, even though I asked.
