Stayed at Pilvax for the second time. If I go back to Budapest I will stay here again. Best of all are the location. Very central, only 200 meters from Vaci Utca (main street in Budapest). First thing to be very wary of is no lifts we had to carry our luggage up 3 flights. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. The rooms were tired, showers were mouldy, and no tissues. Great location on a quiet pedestrianized street off the main shopping area and short walk to many of the main attractions. The room was basic but up to standard, everything you need but nothing fancy. Breakfast was the basic continental, again nothing fancy but it did the job. We were very pleased to stay in this nice and clean hotel. For the 3 stars it is an excellent choice: very well centered in the city (close to the Vaci utca and metro station), and the staff was very kind and helpfull, really going the second mile.
