We stayed for 3 nights and would have happily stayed longer. Room wasn't huge but it was big enough with a modern bathroom, tv, safe, fridge with free water and, we found it to be very clean. We were next to the lifts on floor 5 but had no problem with noise from those. What we did have was a... More

Liked this nice and causy hotel on Buda site. It is located greatly with a good connection to all the city sights. Hotel is clean with good stuff. Room was ok (not to consider the hideous wallpapers). Breakfast was usual. Reccomend to those who is staying in the city for a long term.

This was a wonderful hotel although the rooms are on the small side and only English Channel is the news. Location was absolutely perfect and staff amazing! Food- beautiful authentic eateries located with in a block (we only ate breakfast at the hotel) One thing that creeped me out- is the style of the toilet ... New toilets would be... More

This hotel doesn't really deserve the four stars that it has. Rooms are small and dark, but ours compensated with a nice terrace. The location is very good, all atractions in Buda are in walking distance. The parking is quite expensive and later we have discovered that we could have parked on the upper street. Rich breakfast.

We stayed for one night, passing by Budapest, and we were very impresed by the staff and the location. The rooms were clean and big, we booked a triple room but the receptionist was so kind and gave us 2 double rooms, with balcony. The view is amazing. There is a free parking (garage), which was great for us. Lots... More

Ok hotel. Tries hard with free afternoon tee and cakes. Ok breakfast. However rooms are dated and felt a bit dirty. Excellent location close to major sites and easy to find. Based on cost would not repeat visit.

Generally the hotel is not bad. Except small and not very clean rooms. Everything else is great - location - very close to Buda castle and Széchenyi Chain Bridge. Polite and helpful staff. Big choice and quality of breakfast. Have a private parking for a good price - 15 euro/day.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We found all the staff to be very helpful and they were happy with advice on places to eat and providing maps and directions to help you navigate the city. The room was good size and very clean. Breakfast provided is more than ample and varied. Depending on the time you go... More

We stayed 6 days in Carlton hotel. Service wasn't special in reception and breakfast was basic but good. Room was cleen and comfortable.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
