Situated very usefully on the part Buda side of the river close to the Chain Bridge and the Venicular Railway that takes you up to the Royal Palace and Castle District. There is also a tram and bus stops nearby. At the hotel is parking garage for 15 Euro / night. The hotel is clean and comfortable in a contemporary style... More

We stayed in room 704 on the night of the 24th May, prior to a River cruise. Comfortable clean room, nice breakfast and well situated. Excellent value. The walk across the Danube by day or night is wonderful in this spectacular city that appears to be getting livelier.

We booked this hotel at the very last minute (following a flight cancellation and destination change) so we had no idea of what to expect. Luckily this turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel’s location is perfect, positioned between two main roads, located in a small, slightly steep middle road so traffic noise was minimal. Approximately a 3... More

Great location on the Buda side of the Danube in easy walking distance of the Chain Bridge, Funicular to Castle hill and Fisherman's Bastion. Stayed in a suite on 7th floor. Room was clean and bathroom had tub / shower in case you wanted to soak after long days trek through the city. Also an excellent restaurant, Pater Marcus Abby,... More

We’ve stayed at Carlton for one night and neither of us was pleased with the Hotel. Although it has a great location the rooms are not even remotely impressive. They are small, dark, not quite clean and furnished with old furniture. Although we travelled as a couple we were given a room with 2 beds…..Bathroom was somewhat updated and clean.... More

When you first arrive you think have we made the right choice. A small steep walkway into the hotel. But this is a small sacrifice, this hotel ticked all our boxes. You can only stay b&b, breakfast continental, with plenty of choice and only cooked spicy sausage, scambled eggs, or boiled egg. Our room was down one floor and because... More

This lovely little hotel is centrally located but in a quiet side street. We were told that the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the Chain Bridge.....in fact, it is a 2 min stroll! Fantastic! The walk to the funicular is also 2 mins and that will whisk you up to the Royal Palace with amazing views and the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights from the 14th May. We were looking for ages for a good hotel in Budapest and we decided to book this hotel. We are glad we did. The hotel is in an excellent location. The castle is about a 5 to 10 minute walk up hill from the hotel and a few minutes walk... More
