Although my stay was for business purposes, Budapest Marriott caters to variety of travelers choices. First of all, the biggest positive about this hotel is its location. Tucked on the lines of river Danube, this place offers an exotic view of the grand palace and the city which is at its best when viewed from window in the night hours.... More

The room is overviewing the beautiful Danube bank. Please ask for the room facing the Danube river bank for the mesmerizing night view. Wifi is available in the lobby and free of charge. Budapest Marriott Hotel is walking distance to Vorosmarty Christmas market and infamous Gerbeaud cafe.

The Hotel was very busy despite the hot July. It seems the place's become a little less impeccable it looked before. Bedsheets a tiny bit greyish instead of white, a little but dustier everywhere. The iron in our room almost destroyed my silk blouse, leaking. The credit card used to run your room safe will be charged without any notice... More

We stayed for two nights (B and B) at the Marriott Hotel, on the banks of the Danube - built on the Pest bank but overlooking the beautiful Buda side. Rooms very comfortable with all you need. Although we didn't eat in the Hotel, we saw the menu and it looked varied with something to suit all tastes. The weather... More

I travel to Budapest for work annually and always make a habit to stay at this Marriott. While it's showing signs of age, it has a spectacular rooftop view of the famous bridge on the Danube River and a sunset over the Castle Palace. The service is always at high standards and they're very professional.

Budapest was the last stop on my 2 week long Europe vacation. I stayed at Budapest Marriott for 3 nights and what a befitting way to wrap up my great vacation! The hotel is bang on Danube and all rooms have river view. The view at night was simply breathtaking. The executive lounge served great food and drinks. And fitness... More

Viking River cruise booked a room for us for 2 nights stay Budapest before embarking the ship. Nice hotel right in the city centre - all attraction within walking distance or short walk to Underground station. The view of Danube river was superb especially at night -and you can walk along the banks of it. The hotel restaurant has good... More

I stayed at the Budapest Marriot 3 nights this month and I loved every minute of it. The hotel is in an excellent location on the river facing Buda castle and I think most rooms have excellent views. Its walking distance from Chain Bridge and Buda Castle and a reasonable distance from Parliament. The best are comfortable and the rooms... More

Booked 8/9 months ahead, room with a view of river and Castle. Arrived from airport to a very warm Budapest, Executive floor (9th) hotel room 22.5 degrees-, reported fault- three visists from engineer- told 1 hour will be cooler - what rubbish. Curtains drawn all day, what was the point of a room with a view? No lights left on... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
