This is an ideal hotel in Pest, the action side of Budapest. Not only a superior hotel with fantastic facilities, the views and location on the Danube is incredible. Hotel is clean, at well organized and pampering to guests. Location makes enjoyable short walks to shopping and the whole "pest" experience. Hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

This hotel has all the rooms facing the Danube and the Castle district. We had an amazing view from our room - the illuminated Chain Bridge and the Castle were simply fabulous! The hotel has an excellent restaurant which serves both grilled and vegetarian meals ( meeting all our needs as a family travelling with 2 teenager boys

Everything you would expect of a Marriott Hotel, well presented, good quality and perfectly located for all of Budapest's sights. Staff were very helpful and friendly and always willing to help. Room was fine, elegantly decorated with all the facilities you would expect in a quality hotel.

The location of the hotel on the water on the Pest side of Budapest could not have been better. It is easy walking distance to almost all the sites. The rooms have beautiful views and the night views with lights on the sites across the river are spectacular. The service in the restaurant was very good and the executive lounge... More

Fantastic views, good service. Executive lounge with balcony overlooking the Danube. Public spaces were warm (95 degrees outside). Did not eat there. Our friends got a room where the air conditioning did not work but it was fixed. Their room also had an odor.

This is one of the best Marriotts I have ever stayed in. Absolutely an ideal location on the Pest side. Easy walking distance to many locations and easy access to transportation. The views of the Buda Castle at night from the Marriott are stunning. We had access to the executive lounge which included a wonderful outdoor terrace. The staff and... More

We had two issues with our stay but will start with the positive aspects. This hotel has a very good location, on the Danube River with lovely views across the river to old Buda, the Palace, etc. It is also only one block away from the lively pedestrian street called Vaci. It is easy to walk to many sights. The... More

Each room has a view of the river. Older Hotel but maintained well. Good train transportation at the doorstep. Awesome night views of the well lighted buildings across the river. Lobby a bit small and busy but comfortable room. Very nice views from the lounge upstairs stocked at certain hours. Nice boat trips from the docks below

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
