Everything was perfect. The staff was wonderful beyond words. Close to everything. The local train is a five minute walk away. Breakfast, buffet is $40, but you can order a la carte. My mom and I had the pancakes with hot chocolate for about $14 and it was delish. Worth every cent in my opinion. more

Just spent 3 nights here with 5 friends. We upgraded to the Executive rooms so had 3 rooms on the 9th floor with fabulous views over the Danube, looking towards the Castle district. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. We were delayed and didn't arrive until after 8pm, but had an excellent restaurant recommended and booked for us,... more

While awaiting our Uniworld Danube River Cruise this Fall, our family made reservations at the Marriott Hotel. We were drawn to the location because it seemed to be one of very few hotels in Budapest located on the Danube River. The location seemed too good to be true. Check-in was a breeze for our very beautifully appointed, newly renovated, suite... more

I will always stay here if I am in Budapest. The view is breathtaking, the Danube river below and the Castle is on the other side of the river. In the evening the lights of the Castle are wonderful. I stayed at the 6th floor and in the evening I used to stay near the window and just look at... more

When i book a Marriott i always have a thought on how its going to be. I believe in JW "Bill" Marriotts ideas and work ethics. On arriving to the Hotel in the Hotels Taxi (7500 HUF) i recommend (zona taxis stationed outside the airport. its about 4300 HUF the drivers are amazing careful and polite. The hotel has been... more

My husband and I first encountered this hotel in June 1998 when we had just arrived in Budapest by overnight train from Prague and, although we hadn't booked to stay there, we liked its location so much that we ate breakfast there. A year later we stayed there to celebrate our Silver Wedding and, ten years later, we have just... more

Just spent 3 nights at the Budapest Marriott and it was excellent. The location right on the Danube River with a view across to the Palace on Buda side couldn't have been better - especially at night when the Palace was all lit up! We stayed on the Executive Floor so could access the Executive Lounge and it was well... more

Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms, convenient location, and great staff. Everything I expect as a platinum Marriott rewards member. My room had a beautiful view of the Danube, the Chain Bridge and Castle Hill. The best part of this hotel is the concierge lounge with great breakfast and light dinner, beer, wine and desserts in the evening. You can relax... more
