The Best Western in Budapest, Hungary is on a street with extensive repairs being done to the street. As a result of these repairs, water service is turned off on an ongoing and scheduled basis. Although the Best Western hotel is aware of these planned water outages they book rooms without ANY prior warning to the guests. Both when booking... more

Good location within walking distance of the main sights. Tastefully refurbished. Stayed 3 nights. Small hotel with an olde world atmosphere. Highly recommended.Reasonable breakfast but awful coffee machine-sadly this seems to be the case in many European hotels. more

Reading some reviews here I had some doubts about this hotel. But being a BW Gold Crown member, and with the hotel's great location, I reserved it. First off, all the reception people were really nice to us. Then, when I got to our floor (the 2nd), I remarked that the hallway had been renovated. And then when I entered... more

We stayed here using Best Western points accumulated over the past few months So really it was booked based on the number of points we had and not in the hope of anything special. The Hotel has just been refurbished so all the rooms are modern and clean. Our room was large with a sitting room and two new TV's.... more

The room itself was dark (not much sunlight gets there) and the decoration tired and worn. I.e. poor lighting, dark brown carpets, walls that needed a fresh coat of paint and the TV was a bit on the tiny side and old. The bathroom at first glance seems small and tidy but on closer inspection needed some further cleaning. The... more

The suite we had was superb and a very reasonable price. It had two full length windows in the lounge, one in the bedroom. We had a view over the Danube which was truly magnificent at night. The rooms were light, bright not garish, the carpet was rust not red. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was... more

Good location, close to river Danube and a number of bars and restaurants. Rooms are basic with no bath, just a shower. Breakfast was awful. more

Just got back from Budapest and stayed here for three nights. It was a last minute trip and most other places were fully booked so in spite of reading the previous posters' reviews, we made reservations here. We heard no noise and had no problems sleeping in the night. With day temperatures of 38degCelcius, the air-conditioning was great. It was... more

Very noisy area. Beds are uncomfortable. Bland breakfast buffet. Rooms are simple, but clean. Great hotel if you don't want to get a good night rest! I would never recommend the hotel! more

The hotel is in the Pest side of town, very near the Danube and walking distance from all public transport. It is also very near a lot of nice cafes and restaurants and five minutes walk from the fantastic Central Market. The hotel staff were especially friendly and helpful. Although located in a side street, the rooms facing the street... more
