Booked into this place with a group of 12 as part of a Stag Do. The receptionist was about the majority of the time and was very helpful. We ahd the whole place to ourselves being such a big group, but every room had it's own key as well as a locked front door and a code to access the... More

When I booked this I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid. What we got was brilliant, I have stayed in other hostels in Budapest and this was excellent and will definatley be staying here again. You couldn't get a better location! We was able to do our washing for free and the Wi-Fi is good. There was 4... More

After arriving at the hostel and realising its central location, helpful staff and good value for money, we extended our stay by two nights and the staff were happy to oblige. There is a lift to use to get to the 2nd floor also :) We were also allowed to wash and dry our clothes for free which is very... More

Stayed at the hostel for a long weekend. We loved our room, big, bright and airy. Breakfast was included, it was a voucher you had to present at a cafe a 10min walk away, the stay cost us about £25 per person for all 3 nights with breakfast and decent wifi, couldn't have gone wrong, we were able to come... I highly recommend you this hostel if you are going to Budapest. First, its location is great, you can reach everywhere by foot. Second, it is clean and comfortable, it gives you your own home feeling. Third, staff are helpful and kind. I hope you enjoy Budapest :)

I spent one week in Budapest and stayed at Animation City Hostel. I think this is the best hostel in Budapest according to price and location. Very friendly and nice staff. Budapest offers a lot of sight sings and it`s a bit hard to go around the city by foot. You can rent bikes here only for 2000 HUF and... More

December in Budapest is not warm but I was expecting the "superior" room with "private bathroom" to be warm. Wasn't. And they didn't fix it either. By the way: the "private" bathroom is NOT ensuite. Just that it can be closed with a key. Otherwise, modern decorated. But small and cramped room. Not worth the money. The room was part... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
