This is probably ideal for anyone who has come to Budapest to drink. If you are sightseeing, having a few drinks and then hoping to get some shut eye... I wouldn't bother. The walls are paper thin. We had young guys staying next door to us for the three nights we stayed here and didn't sleep a wink, they had... More

For the price, I was not expecting luxury and I was not disappointed. The hotel was difficult to find due to odd numbering system on street. Once found though, check in was smooth and the female at the front was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is an additional cost, but we sprung for it and found it very substantial. You... More

The staff is very friendly and the beds are comfortable. Very nice price and the location very good. The rooms are very cold even with the heater on. The showers are a little bit dirty. It's very close to the center of the city and with multiple transports nearby.

This is the third time I have visited this guest house. The first time and most recently (both times in the summer) I have been happy with my stay at the guest house. However I would not advise it as a place to stay in the winter as there is no central heating and the floor gets extremely cold! The... More

The hotel is very conveniently located whether you are heading to the center along the Andrassy St full of nice coffee shops and bars, or would like to spend a great day in the Széchenyi Baths. For those who do not fancy long walks (30 mins tops to the Parliament, btw) there is a metro station 3 mins away. Rooms... More

Our room was an en-suite. It was newly-renovated, clean, and well-furnished. Be aware that (1) the halls are very "lively," i.e., they carry sound, (2) this hotel has a lot of younger guests, who come in late and are often LOUD in the hall, and (3) you are very likely to be awakened by noisy people in the hall. Still,... More

I do not recommend anyone staying here unless you are willing to relive a student life, rooms are very basic, beds were broken, staff were not very friendly, shared toilets were not always clean, walls are thin so you can hear absolutely everything going on in the other rooms and outside, no amenities provided except towels which only get changed... I recently stayed at the City Center Guesthouse for 6 days. For the price that I paid, the quality of hotel and atmosphere was great. It is situated on a side street off of the my main street of Androssy ut. It was a easy to catch the Metro and the Bus from this location. There are a great number... More

I booked this not knowing much about the hotel itself, I was unaware that I would have a shared toilet/shower. However, this is an excellent hotel, with lovely staff in a very convenient area. I had an excellent night sleep here and was close enough to all of the action that I was happy, but far enough removed that I... More

I stayed here in June 2013. The guesthouse was very quiet as located on a smaller side road just a short walk off one of the main roads that lead to the centre. The receptionist Eszter was very friendly and helped me bring bags inside, and spoke fluent English. The room was very clean and tidy, as was the shared... More
