I was so happy with my experience at the Grand Hotel Budapest. I gasped when I saw the room. It had a large bedroom area with an extremely comfortable bed and great view of the park. The decor was modern and lively with white and bold spots of red. The bathroom was amazing. I'm not sure in all my travels... More

A great place to stay in the beautiful city of Budapest. Very quiet, centrally located and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast is superb. The only problem is finding it - my GPS failed miserably. Take a good old fashioned map to find this excellent hotel. I would certainly stay here again.

This hotel has a great location. Our room was really nice with a wonderful bath tub and wall tiles from Bisazza. The gym was quite small. We also had breakfast there, which I should say the orange juice unlike most of hotels was fresh pressed and 100% natural!!

From the moment we arrived at check in, being greeted with a glass of complimentary Bubbly to the time we checked out, the experienced of staying at the Iberostar grand hotel Budapest was fantastic. Central hotel next to holocaust memorial, near to cathedral, chain bridge and main sites. Nice area to eat on the square which was great in the summer sunshine but probably more limited in winter. Great bedrooms with plush sofa, extra king size beds and a choice of smells to be pumped into your room!

I would rank this hotel very high on the list. Great room. Got a free upgrade. The breakfast and spa was fantastic too. The bed was really comfortable and the room was very modern and clean. Above all, the staff was polite and very helpful especially at the reception.

I'm a frequent business traveller but here I wasn't a happy customer - poor service. 1) ordered a dessert , wait well over 20 minutes, ask what is happening, get presented with a bill for dessert that never arrived! Rip off, so tried to complain.....HA! Off the bill but they had wasted my time, gave no reason. 2) room phone... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
