The hostel is really easy to reach off of the 2 tram that runs along the river. Only wish there was a bigger sign, or any decent sign really. You have to go off the apartment/house number which was easy enough. Then a couple of turns and stairs thru what's looks to be an abandoned apartment complex and you've landed... More

Really loved this hostel, one of the best ones I've ever stayed in. We stayed in the 16 bed mixed dorm, which was excellent. The beds were comfy and private, with lots of storage space. The one negative point is that the trams which passed outside the room could sometimes be noisy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the free... More

Staff were extremely lovely, helpful and accommodating (shout out to my name twin, Gabor). The atmosphere is heaps chill and it really makes it easy to meet people from around the world, however I guess how much sleep you get really depends on who you have in your dorm. Location is prime, just a walk away from Margretsziget, Parliament and... More

Nice beeds with curtains to keep privacy in the dorm. Comfy. Would be nice if that was available for the top bunks as well. Bit noisy outside since the room was located just beside a busy street (Although That noise was nothing compared to the extremely loud snoring guy in our dorm). Two tiny bathrooms it's not enough while offering... More

For as much as I understood the hostel is divided in two branches which are just 10 meters apart, this review is about the one at the number 25, doorbell 18. Hostel's very nice just as the staff which is helpful and kind. The dorms are clean enough and every bed has its own curtains so it's very private. Every... More

This hostel had air conditioning (a/c), but it was only in the common areas. I stayed during a heat wave to be fair...but they should've turned on the a/c unit in the room. This place is great for meeting people. Very social environment. Walking tour done by staff member. I was awoken by drunk people walking in and out of... More

I really liked staying here and from the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The staff were very friendly and helped with any questions I had during my two night stay. It was a bit tricky to find, but it's quiet and secure. Dinner is provided three nights a week and it's a great opportunity to meet everyone and... More

The dorms were pretty good, and even though the hostel itself is very badly signposted, the location (just down from the parliament, right on the river) is amazing. The staff were all very helpful too. That said, the communal areas were very messy and not so clean (not really the staff's fault, but not very nice). They promised free food,... More

Really enjoyed my stay at home plus hostel. Staff were very helpful, rooms were nice, breakfast was free, eifi was good; what more could you ask? The location was good, right by the river, about 15 minutes from the train station and the good clubs.

Had a really lovely stay at this hostel. The rooms are very clean and the beds have a curtain for privacy which was really nice. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the whole place is generally very homely and welcoming. I would definitely recommend anyone travelling to Budapest to stay here!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
