It's in a great location, really close to many transports. The breakfast it's really good (I miss those toasts) and the hungarian dinner nights are amazing to meet new people and, well, to eat. Really nice staff and everything was very clean

Despite the staff kindness and the good location, the good prize can't be a synonym of bad hygiene! We arrived late in the night and we booked a triple private ensuite and there were 4 beds and one of those was clearly unchanged (duvet wrapped up in) and ours didn't seem and didn't smell clean too. There were hair everywhere... More

Due to being close to the tram and two tram stops away from Batthyány tér, it is a good place to stay if you plan to attend Sziget Festival and are not camping on the island. Parliment Building is a short walking distance from the place, and getting to the center by foot would take around 20 minutes. Stayed in... More

This hostel was okay, easy to find if you follow the directions. 30 second walk from tram stops, 1 which takes you along the Danube and to connections for Buda. The other line takes you across the bridge to some baths, or in the other direction through the centre of Pest, 1 stop to Nyugati, 4 stops to Ruin Bars... More

The information on hostel world is misleading. The walk to the center of town where everything is going on is a 25 - 30 minute walk, NOT 10. The staff, although friendly, were extremely unhelpful. When asking for food recommendations, they said they didn't know, no help on information for buses or trains to surrounding areas. Its a hostel much... More

Me and few of my friends were looking for place to crash over the night in (possibly) centre of Budapeszt. Our trip was totally spontaneous and we didn't even think about reserve place in hostel. Then we heard about HomePlus Hostel. Place not even 5min away from Budapest Parliament building. and because of student status we get discount. so basically... More

So basically, this hostel would have been perfect: free breakfast, free dinner (v good), excellent wifi, not too expensive, and probably the best communal feel out of the 8 hostels we visited whilst travelling round Europe, since there are lots of people to meet in the central common area. HOWEVER beware- we had a really stressful time especially arriving here... More

I would not recommend this hostel: When we arrived we were told that we only had a booking for one person even though we had the confirmation which was for two people - they had made a mistake on their system. We were then redirected to the other building which was not nice: there was a cramped 18-bed dormitory for... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
