Even though the place was up a small hill, the location is great. It is close to the subway, trolleys, and busses. The staff were helpful, the rooms were decent, and the bathrooms were kept clean. The only down side to this place is the WiFi. It rarely worked.

We weren't expecting much as we were looking for a place to stay few days before we left. However, we were surprised in a good way, our room was clean and everything in it was working. The staff at the reception were helpful. Only bad thing were the toilets, not very clean and not very good smelling. Wifi didn't actually... More

- reception people not welcoming at all. They hardly said hello when I arrived. It looked like they just wanted to get my money and give me the key - terrible wifi connexion, worked one day out of two - showers in the morning were sometimes cold - very noisy at night, people talked loudly (or even shouted) in the... This time we were 3 people travelling and we could not find a better deal as we booked from one day to another. The hostel is correct and clean but too far away from the center. The nearest public transport to the center was about 10 minuts walking. Pleasant to go down the street, but not so pleasant to go... More

To be hones, for what I expect of a hostel, this should get a 2 out of 5 at most! But then again, you get what you pay for ... If i remember corectly, we payed about 5€ a night so, its no suprise the hostel has about the same charm and appeal of a hospital. I think the building... More

It looks like a student dorm, but the prices are very good. The rooms have two beds, and a basic cleaning room(shower & sink). In the room you can also find a refrigerator. Very nice staff, they speak fluently English and are very helpful. You can let the key at the reception when you go outside.

The city hostel buda is a university dorm when it's not a hostel, so if you go with that in mind you'll be fine! he rooms are basic, but nice and clean with a shower and sink. Toilets are down the hall, but that wasn't a problem for us. Receptionists speak English very well and are helpful (they called and... More

I would only recommend this hostel if you really have a tight budget. If you can afford something a little bit more expensive, make yourself a favour and don't stay here. The rooms are good sized, but the bathrooms are shared and in 4 days that I stayed there they were never cleaned, so it was disgusting. The location is... More

at no point were we guests in this hostel. you need to give your passport to use the kitchen and then they want a deposit for a cup. there is no social atmosphere and the staff are pretty slow and less than helpful. the one redeeming feature was the price and and double rooms. the location is not too bad... The hostel is a great place for a good visit, we were there for 3 nights and only had good experiences there. The rooms are comfortable and a great size, only thing to say about the rooms is that there is no aircondition. About the facilities i will say that, the system of renting kitchen tools is a bit annoying,... More
