It was cheap, we had 1 day left in Budapest so we gave it a shot. The place clearly used to be a brothel and that gave it a lot of character. The room was kinda cool, with a balcony out to the huge courtyard, but the furniture was insanely old and cramped. The place is very run-down but we... More

This was truly back to basics but we loved it. My friend thought of it as a 'treehouse' and we both loved our stay. Thought it was slightly odd only having one key for the door but you soon get used to it. Average kitchen facilities and friendly staff. The shower and toilet could have been cleaner and is in... This place is great so long as you don't expect any luxury. I have generally low expectations regarding cleanliness and facilities so the only thing which bothered me was that the bedsheets they gave me were too small to fit on the bed and way too small for me (and I'm only 5 foot 11). If I had a sleeping... More

Building is old and in need of a bit of love. Kitchen is basic but all you need. The toilets are scary places, they leak and flood the floor. The ladies in reception are very lovely and helpful. Unfortunately every night I stayed here I couldn't get to sleep until 4 or 5 am due to the fact that the... More

We recently checked this place out the other day , hoping to say there upon our arrival in Budapest. We were not pleased with the lack of cleanliness that should have been attended to by a maid, (the hairballs in the shower were not appetizing) ,by the decrepit old building lacking more than anything some fresh paint, and a ultra... Old building which has taken a bit of damage over time. I was told by friend that the building operates as low budget dorms for students during term time and as a hostel by summer. The hostel was in an ok area, easy to reach metro stations and down-town Pest very easily. Lots of restaurants, fast-food joints and smalls supermarkets... More

A good hostel, was an old nunnery so is massive. Loads of toilets, beautifully quirky, spacious rooms. A bit out of the centre, easily reachable by tram or metro. Staff were fairly helpful but was understaffed, so eg when the electricity stopped working in our room, took them 10 hours to get around to turning it back on. All in... More

This hostel is very cheap and the rooms are ok. Nothing fancy, But enough to sleep. One thing is that it can be noisy sometimes as balconys are on an inner court and travellers tends to spend their evenings on them.
