Just returned from wonderful riverboat trip down the Danube, ending in Budapest. Stayed on one extra night at this little gem of a hotel. Rooms were large and impeccable. Staff was extremely accommodating. Gerloczy Cafe at hotel served us one of the best meals we had on the entire trip! Breakfast was included, but had to catch early flight so... More

I stayed in this small hotel for one week in August 2014. At first I thought it more shabby than chic but by the end of the week I had grown to love it and would certainly go back. It is very central but not in a very busy or noisy area. My room was spacious and comfortable and the... More

We stayed her for four nights in August, 2014. What a great time we had! The staff did all they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The helped us with tickets to local attractions, arranged a private tour for us of the Castle Hill ( with a superb guide), and filled our mini fridge daily...with free treats!... More

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this quirky, well run hotel and I would recommend it to anyone passing through Budapest. My room was tastefully decorated with a lovely balcony. The mini bar was fully stocked and free. The staff were really helpful and all this came at an extremely reasonable price!

This is great place to stay in Budapest. Very central with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Although the breakfast was 'extra' on top of the cost of the room the food was wonderful. Only problem was that, as it says on the website, there is no parking and it' squire expensive to use the nearby car parks (US$20 a day)

What a treat to have stayed in this wonderful boutique hotel! The staff was helpful & friendly. Our accommodations were very nice, clean, & serviced daily. We enjoyed the variety of complimentary goodies, including alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks in our mini-bar, which was restocked daily! We enjoyed the café that was connected to the hotel & their wonderful breakfast including... More

What a lovely little hotel. It has great character - we stayed in one of the quirky loft rooms with beams and a raised bed. Staff really friendly and location couldn't have been better. Food was excellent - no luke-warm buffet breakfasts here! - and we had a couple of really good dinners including fantastic Friday fish and chips! Highly... More

Attic room very cosy. Free minibar (including small bottle of Hungarian sparkling wine and nibbles) restocked each day. Very friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast: cranberry rolls particularly recommended. Copy of Torok's brilliant Budapest guidebook in the room. Great location, close to metro stations and the river. We would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at the Gerloczy for 5 nights in May 2013 during our belated honeymoon. The building itself is filled with character with golden foil wall paper and gold accented furniture. Every day our room had a small fridge with water, soda, peanuts, chocolate, beer and champagne that was refilled without extra charge (a wonderful little luxury after days spent... More
