My wife and I stayed here for three days and had a wonderful experience. Ron was truly a perfect host. He and Ryan were great and made sure we had everything we needed. Ron sat down with us every morning and helped us map out our day, giving us great insight along the way. Then, at night, he and Ryan... More

I was a bit anxious about sharing someone's home, as I am used to renting apartments and/or staying at hotels when I travel. After staying at Ron and Ryans' wonderful place for two nights, I am kicking myself for not trying similar arrangements like this previously. Having said that, however, it is extremely unlikely that I, or you, would be... More

Wowee, PeripaticJohnR! Great to hear from you... and thanks heaps for your gracious feedback. We certainly enjoyed sharing travel adventures with you as well. Here's hoping your Scottish "peripateting" has gone well, and that you're safely on your way to many more days of good vibrations with Mother Earth and her earthlings. Happy Trails! More

Ron and Ryan make BudaBab a really special place. Both are Americans, Iowa and New Jersey, but have lived in Budapest for eleven years. As noted in other reviews, Ryan wrote the 2010 Frommer guidebook on Budapest. They know Budapest! More than that, they have travelled the world and are engaging conversationalists. It is fun just to get to know... More

I had two hosts, expatriates from the United States.   Both are college professors (one retired) and Ryan is the author of the Frommer's  Budapest  book. They were attentive.   Talk about having a source of information.   They have eaten at every restaurant, visited every site, and done just about everything you can do in Budapest.   You... More

What a find this place was! To have 2 English speaking hosts who were so eager to share their vast knowledge of Budapest was wonderful. They recommended places to go, restaurants to visit, made reservations for us and generally went out of their way to make our visit easier and more enjoyable. Their apartment is comfortable and very clean. I... More

I found this place on Frommers and it was the highest rated B&B. It is a private three bedroom apartment owned by two university professors who are great hosts and American expatriates. We booked the large master bedroom which has its own renovated bathroom and shower. The owners are very proud of their place and most eager to please. The... More

I stayed for 3 nights with a few friends at Budabab, and I have to say it was definitely one of the nicest hotels/hostels where I've been. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, with an awesome shower (very important!), towels being provided, a hairdryer (also very important), and everything being superb decorated. Next to that the hosts, Ron and Ryan,... More

I love Budapest, and as a young woman travelling solo, it's important to me that a place is safe and in walking distance to trams and metro. This place was perfectly situated and the flat itself is comfortable, homey and safe. I've been to Budapest several times, and staying with Ryan and Ron was by far my favorite trip! They... More
