The hotel was beautiful. We stayed in the apartments which were extremely well equipped and lovely to come home to after a day's sightseeing. The staff were very courteous and provided everything from umbrellas to recommendations for other restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, as was the coffee shop and bistro. Would definitely recommend.

The Corinthia Budapest, formerly the Grand Hotel Royal Budapest, typifies its city more than any other hotel does. The grand entrance and staircase, subdued marble decor, and courteous service is a standout. We were given an upgrade to a Residence apartment, which was huge! 2 clean, comfortable bedrooms, kitchen, 2 baths and a living room for 2 people, facing a... More

We stayed in the Royal Residence - apartments behind the hotel. It was great to have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a full shower), a kitchen, and living room. The washer and drying rack rounded out our needs. The apartments were not as luxurious as the hotel but were clean, well equipped and perfectly adequate. And the extra space... More

Three of us stayed at the residences at the corinthia hotel budapest. The apartment was large very well appointed and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and I could not fault this hotel and would definately stay here again and highly recommend it to others travelling to Budapest. The spa at this hotel was also fabulous and we had a... More

Taking about the hotel, is Great! But if you think to book an aparment is not the best, WHY? the aparments are next to the hotel, so if you wanna go to the pool you have to cross an open hall and them walk the whole hotel to get to the pool, i didn't like this specially in winter. The... More

The Corinthia is a hotel steeped in history, with a place in Budapest's past as The Royal - one of the only "luxury" hotels in the city during the communist regime. Now it is a five star hotel run by the Corinthia chain. With the past stripped away the hotel has been reduced to a standard property, located centrally (though... More

We stayed here as part of the Avalon Waterways tour. Flooding in Europe meant that a trip became a coach tour. Corinthian therefore gained at short notice a group booking for 125 people, and also providing lunch and dinner. The building is magnificent, we had room 1206 with a balcony, the service efficient and friendly, and the location great. Full... More

The Corinthia Royal Residence apartments are set in beautiful gardens, and you feel you are 'enclosed' from the outside world, far away from the hustle and bustle (and traffic noise) of the city. 'Peace and tranquility' sums it up. At the same time, the hotel's facilities are available should you wish to use them. Our party of three stayed here... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
