How you rate this hotel depends on your expectations. If you expect cutting edge decor, a vibrant atmosphere, etc. this is not for you. There is nothing flash about it.

But if you like a somewhat remote location, silence, a beautiful and very spacious setting, perhaps a bit of a feeling of times past, then this hotel is delightful. There is a very inviting outdoor swimming pool as well, but who would want it, with the lake so close?

When I say “remote”, it is about a ten minute very lovely walk before one gets to the main promenade, where all the restaurants are to be found. The hotel restaurant is a bit more basic than I would have hoped for, - but there are enough very good alternatives if one is prepared to do a bit of walking to get to them.

If you have small children and enjoy being no more than 50 meters from the wonderfully well-kept beach then this is ideal.
