We stayed here for 4 nights and and cannot praise it enough. The bedrooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated, the bed linen of a high quality and the en-suite facilities of a high standard.
There is a kitchen available where you can prepare small snacks. The breakfast was varied and good quality. The small pool was heated and there were plenty of loungers. The owner was welcoming and helpful , although she has limited English. However, her daughter was happy to answer all our queries, They even met us at the station and took us back to catch our return train to Budapest. My only slight criticism is that it is further from the centre than I would have liked. However, the distance seemed to grow less each time we walked it.
Balatonfured is a delightful, relaxing resort which has been developed very tastefully and is easily accessible by train from Budapest,
