This has to be my favourite hotel that I have ever visited! It was absolutely adorable. Everyone was traditionally dressed and the rooms were so cute, especially with the gingerbread hearts on our pillow. I just fell in love with it all when we arrived. The people were friendly, helpful and could speak really good English. Their dog was also... More

I haven't stayed at the inn here, but on a recent trip to Radovljica, I stopped to see the Gingerbread Exhibit which is in the basement of the restaurant. I definitely recommend a visit there. They have all kinds of antique gingerbread molds, and lots of very interesting displays. And it's free! Of course, you're welcome to purchase some of... More

We were made very welcome here. It is a wonderful place to stay, the staff dress in traditional dress, the gingerbread museum is amazing and the hotel is so quaint that it is just like being in a fairytale! The staff are helpful and the man who owns it is a perfect host. Breakfast is very good, plenty of choice.... More

A great place to stay, smack in the middle of a wonderful old town. Everything was tip-top, although a little, at times, on the funky side. The staff was very pleasant. Restaurant excellent but not inexpensive with a very complete menu of interesting dishes. This is an “up” place to stay. The only negative I can mention is that the... More

We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the experience. The location is perfect for visiting Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, since the hotels right in those ares are not as nice and and more touristy expensive. Gostilna Lectar is in the middle of the historic, quiet and lovely old Radoviljica town center, and since it is car-free, there is no... More

Large clean room but furniture could be better quality., Breakfast OK (except for the terrible coffee - which seems to be related to the brand rather than how the hotel prepares it). Best feature is the roof terrace. Hotel also has a gingerbread museum and caters for large groups in the restaurant. Couldn't help feeling the B&B side of the... More

The room was large, everything was clean, and the location was great. Lakes Bled and Bohinj were short distances away and it was nice to return to the Lectar after a day of visiting other sites. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast and appreciated the front desk staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful.

After reading many positive opinions on Tripadvisor, I decided to book this hotel for a small business trip. I agree that the hotel looks quite cosy and the owners do their best to be friendly, perhaps a bit too much. I was not convinced, not by the room, not by the breakfast and certainly not by the dinner I had... More

The room was large and comfortable, though located on the old main street, was quiet and pleasant. The door to the roof terrace was a bonus and breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits, homemade jam and crispy croissons. Having breakfast on the terrace facing the stunning view was excellent,

We stayed at Lectar last weekend and we were positively surprised. A really hospitable place in an 500 year old building with rooms overlooking the historical town Radovljica. The rooms are nice and modern but they look old :) The hotel is also known for its good restaurant so many tourist go there just for lunch or dinner. In this... More
