Hotel is really outdated. It was built around 1970 and it didn't change much. From distance it looks nice, but details are not so good. Reception is OK, but the access to the hotel is poor. They have regular keys with "lead" pendant with room number. Room is OK, but it is old-fashioned. TV is extra small, but with enough... More

The staff members are nice. The food is good. The rooms are OK. The food is traditional Slovenian. I liked. It has got a swimming pool. The location is nice. If you are there you shud wisit Piran. It's a town 1km away.

this was my second stay in hotel Histrion so it was as i have expected, but my first stay was a littlebit of suprise. this is an average hotel that you could see 20 years ago at the adriatic sea. the price seamed reasonable for what you get, but that is probably due to out of summer season. the room... this is big, old but refurnished hotel, in tourist town, on the Slovenian coast. and that's mostly it. if you have not other place to spend your holiday, you can sleep there. it is fairly clean, rooms are not too small, and some rooms have nice view. breakfast is fine. but there is nothing because you would like to come... I have found this hotel to be very tired and dated needs an urgent refurb, this hotel is rated as 4 star, I would struggle to give it 3. Breakfast and dinner was very busy not much choice for breakfast if you wanted a hot breakfast not much available mainly continental selection. We were surprised that for a 4 star... More

The Hotel is part of a group[ St Bernardin] we stayed in The Histrion, we had a top floor room, looking towards the west, over the water and the clear blue Adriatic, The grand Hotel was towards the west only a couple of hundred mitres, at the back of the... Have been to Slovenia before up in the mountains so knew it was a beautiful place. Last year we docked in Koper when on a cruise. We did a 22 mile bike ride which took us through Izola then along the Route of Health and Wellness in to Portoroz and on to Piran. We liked the look of it so... More

Nicely situated on the sea wall. Large Hotel (I'm told nearly 500 rooms) although the reception area was always fairly quiet. Great view from the rooms which were fairly basic. WiFi was OK. Breakfast was very, very busy and the food in my opinion very poor.

I think it's about time there was a review of this hotel from a English person. The hotel is mostly full of foreign people but don'nt let this put you off. The staff speak English very well. It is set on a beauitful coastline a sea view room is a must. The bedding and towles were brilliant white and the... More

We have stayed a night at this hotel that is located in a very nice place close to the beach. Actually, staying in the Hotel Histrion allowed us to enjoy the nice view of the Adriatic shore and a free shuttle to the very nice Pirano center. The hotel provides a free parking and the breakfast is reach and fresh
