First, TripAdvisor lists this as "Hostel Piran" but it is not a hostel. It is the Hotel Piran. There is a youth hostel a bit further inland. Anywho, on our first visit to Slovenia, my partner and I stayed here towards the end of April and were pleasantly surprised by the size of our suite. Separate living area with adjacent... more

Did not stay at hotel, only ate on the terrace overlooking the Adriatic outside. We expected a mediocre experience but were instead totally surprised by the quality the kitchen brought forth: risotto with cuttlefish; risotto with artichokes, grilled sardines, fresh green salad, fried calamari... top notch all the way through. The waiter was great too.. a tired George Clooney lookalike.... more

We have just returned from Piran, Slovenia where we experienced the worst staff attitude ever at the Hotel Piran. With the exception of one lady at the bar, the staff on reception and in the restaurant had the worst attitude I have ever encountered. They were rude and unhelpful at all times, though expected tips at every turn. The bar... more

This hotel has a wonderful location and is one of those hotels that if you want to have a memorable experience, stay in one of the more expensive rooms. We were there for 3 nights and I booked one of the suites. It was fabulous. It was room 126, had a living room, large bedroom, good size bathroom, and a... more

This is a very comfortable hotel located right on the seaside promenade of charming Piran. The superior rooms are spacious and well appointed. A very generous breakfast is served on the fourth floor in a room with a sweeping view of the port and town of Piran. There is no parking to be had in Piran if you are a... more

This hotel has a fantastic position on the seafront in Piran, with restaurants and the town on your doorstep. We stayed for one night only in Late May and the weather was perfect. We booked a standard double room with sea views, which had windows which opened on to the sea - BUT the room quality was terrible. It is... more

Hotel Piran is in the best location. It's hotel is right on the sea front and in walking distance of the main attractions. The hotel staff were helpful. We were first given a smokey room, but went down to change, no hassles at all. Room We were rather disappointed with the room as it wasn't a seaview but a back... more

not my best ever stay. Fine if you don't mind noise. The night I was there people were jumping into the sea until 3am then it all started up again at 7......no real airconditioning just a noisy fan plus no one mentions that you have to park outside of town and that adds 8 euros on each day! more

Enjoyed our one night stay at the hotel. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the view of the Adriatic and Croatia in the distance was perfect. The breakfast room can be very hectic especially with the weekend bus tour groups. Usually after 0800 it quiets down. The staff were very helpful and we were lucky enough to... more

I wasnt extremely impressed with the hotel. The location is right where you want to be, but the breakfast room was small and always packed to the point where it's annoying. Also, they make you pay for use of the internet- even wireless. more
