Hi, stay in this hotel in August 2012, location is super, very close to nice lake Bohin, close to Vogel and water fall Savica. The nature is so beautiful, that you stay in hotel only for sleeping. What i do not like is breakfast, it was really poor, my husband always feel hungry. Also in rooms you can not dry... More

This hotel has probably seen better days. The reception staff were friendly but the room was very small and oddly had a window from the bathroom into the bedroom. We only ate breakfast there and it was very poor. Unless you want to be near the cable car you are probably better off staying at one of the hotels in... More

Nice location--close to the cable car, the lake, and a great restaurant named Don Andro's. Both the dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet at the hotel were more than a little disappointing, the aforementioned Don Andro's will more than make up for it though. The hotel is quite dated feeling, which almost adds its own campy charm to the place.... More

Hotel Zlatorog's last renovation was in 1977, and it feels every bit its age. The rooms definitely fall under the category of "spartan" and would best be summarized with "broken furniture and badly stained carpets". The rooms could also really use some blackout shades, as the hotel has decorative exterior lighting that stays on all night. We kept waking up... More

Hotel is nicely located near lake and close to cable car. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to a hiking accident I had to make last minute date changes and there was no problem. They were also willing to keep our bags for a few days for us. They also allowed us to leave our car... More

In terms of customer service and food this place felt like we'd arrived in a state run hotel. No hint of a welcome when we arrived and no thought to tell us our pre-delivered bags were behind the reception. Dinner in the a la carte restaurant was substantial, fried and overcooked rather than appetising (despite good local produce everywhere). The... More

Stayed in two rooms here, First I had room 211,a very small double. Accept only if you are a single. It has a balcony. I moved to room 103 which was in need of a good going-over. The soap dish was missing in the shower and the room needs to be rennovated. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is... More

As some of the previous reviews suggest, this hotel is a little tired and outdated, but we are happy to report that they have now renovated some of the rooms and we found them to be very comfortable and nice. We thought that it was reasonably priced compared to other options in Bohinj, and we loved the location. Definitely worth... More

We have stayed in the Hotel Zlatorog about six or seven times. The location is stunning either in winter or summer. The rooms have certainly needed a refit from the 1970's brown decor but we have always thought that it added to the Zlatorog's unique charm. We have always enjoyed a stay at 'The Zlat'. However on our last stay... More
