Before I got to the hotel I had this expectation of what I had seen in the pictures from the hotel, and you know expectations should be lower than what you see in the pictures. When I got there, I was still not impressed by the lobby, or the elevator, till I got to my room! It was an amazing... More

For starters, I am not even sure how I would have made a reservation. Dom Literatury was recommended by a friend of a friend and the reservation was made for my husband and me. While I would have no interest in returning, I also have no regrets about staying there. The experience provided a memorable adventure, although not always in... More

Staying this near the palace square, feel like a writer in the attic! You need to like to take the breakfast on your own in your room, but you have a neat table. The solitude will add to your inspiration and downstairs you have old Warsaw at your feet Bed is sober and centuries old. Not for people who have... More

Me and my mom stayed here for one night and the place caught our fancy at once. Good price, pretty atmospheric place without any luxury. Economies but everything what you need. They have very funny old elevator.

When I visit Warsaw, I always stay in my little "royal castle" in the Old Town, right next to the real one. It's called Dom Literatury - Literature House. On the third floor of this historical building is located a hotel with windows overlooking the panorama of this city. Several Polish writers lived in these rooms before, so in addition... More

The rooms were nice, spacious and clean, the location next to the castle square is brilliant. Bed was comfortable, no complaints there. The downside is the breakfast. It is served on several tables along the corridors; you can take a tray into your room and eat there. Not very convenient (especially if, like me, you're there with several colleagues and... More

Terrible experience! Breakfast totally insufficient and served, without staff, in the middle of the corridor. Stinky stairways and corridor. Staff not English speaking. Hot water in the bathroom available only in the mornings. Place to avoid!

it is a unique place with great location. Old style with modern bathroom and everything you need. There is nothing wrong with the place unless you used to high class hotels and do not accept things as they are for the price you pay. Common, people, is cheap compare to others and considering the location. It is not a spa... More

Of course, like everyone, I look at reviews prior to staying somewhere. I gambled and thought that Dom Literatury would be decent based on tripadvisor and other sites. It is not. The only good thing about it is location. That is it. Period. Nothing else. The beds are basically 2" thick cushions on top of wood so you hit the... More

This is the place to be - across from the Warsaw Castle, in the charming old town, with public transportation practically at the doorstep. The nearby buses will take you directly to places that are further away, like Lazienki Park or the fascinating Museum of the Warsaw Uprising. The rest of the time you will probably spend walking around the... More
