...delicious breakfast, great location. But be warned: single rooms look like Harry Potter's cupboard under the stairs ;-) Parking at the hotel is tiny, the service directs visitors to another, situated at some distance from the hotel.

Traveling pre and post 1989 I can tell you the service and accommodations are on par with pre 1989 "service". The girls, and yes they have to be teenagers not having any idea about the hotel industry, are indicative of the time when service meant nothing. If you want to be treated like pre 1989 this is your hotel. As... More

Recommended and booked by someone else but fitted the bill well. Ideally located beteen the old city and the station off a relatively quiet main street. We were there on two Saturday nights a week apart. Rooms small but functional and all the main services (bathroom, TV, WiFi) worked well. Limited in variety but adequate breakfast (and, as we were... I stayed in the hotel for a weekend and must admit that this was one of the worst hotel experience in my life… Although location of the hotel is good (walking distance both to railway station and old town) and breakfast is really ok, there is nothing positive about this place. My room was dark (windows facing the inner yard... More

Pros: very clean, staff is hospitable and helpful, good breakfast Cons: WiFi didn't work in 3 of the 7 days I was there, paper thin walls, tiny beds, Rooms are very poorly equipped - not even a hair dryer, you have to ask the front desk for an iron (forget about getting the iron board), windows face to next building... The hotel is very good, its in a busy street, but its back on an alley so there is no noise of the street. Breakfast was very good, WiFi was good and we could park our car in front of the hotel. Highly recomended

The Hotel Royal was recommended to us for its convenience to the railway station. With luggage, it is an inexpensive taxi ride from the station to the hotel, and an easy 15 minute walk without. The hotel is also close to Old Town, an enjoyable walk away. The staff is helpful and personable. If you're lucky, you may meet the... More

A good hotel really close to the city center, good value for the money. We had a superior room, it was really big, clean and good. The bathroom was also big and with a whirlpool tub, really nice! It was close to the center and the main square. The receptionists were kind and professional.

I stayed at the Royal for 6 nights, so I got to know this place very well. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and in good shape, the cleaning crew is always working, and there's always an English speaker at the front desk. Expect the desk attendants to be helpful but not over the top warm and welcoming. The morning... More

Small hotel in the university district of Poznan city, walking distance to city centre. No lift! (elevator) Tiny and cold old style rooms, parking in the inner yard - hard maneuver with longer car. Breakfast OK, almost no facilities. Ideal “sleep & go accommodation” in Poznan – city that offers a lot during any time of the year.
