This hotel is showing a lot of signs of wear, but the bed was comfortable and immaculately clean. Staff extremely helpful and allow you to stay in your room longer. The hall and stairs are so full of character, the doors to your room look a bit like prison doors! With keys. We were upgraded to a apartment just by... More

This place has a certain charm to it with the gorgeous hallways and ceilings. The hotel is located down the super long road where most of the shops and bars etc... are. The staff where rather friendly with a few sour faced members like any other establishment. Beds where comfortable and rooms had what I needed. My one complaint would... More

If you ever find yourself in Lodz then this hotel I easily the best value for money hotel in the city. It is packed with history, the rooms might seem a little dated for some but they are very comfortable. The staff are second to none. The location is right in the middle of Piotrowska street, lively and full of... More

Dating back to 1888, this is a grand hotel. The foyer is magnificent, as is the restaurant/function room, intimate bar, grand staircase. Rooms are large with tall ceilings and very comfortable. Bathroom has everything needed and is also spacious. Wifi is included in the price and there are a few parking spots reserved for quests out the front of the... More

It is a remarkable building as you enter the marble hall and the staff behave as if they were at an establishment of the highest quality - they are proper, polite and speak excellent English. My room was enormous with a high ceiling overlooking Piotrkowska St - the longest shopping street in Europe. The furnishings in the room owe something... More

I've been to the grand hotel twice in the last year. The entrance hall is quite nice and there is a decent seating area that allows you to comfortably browse the internet on complimentary wifi, which is where you'll need to use it as picking up the connection from your room is rather hit or miss. The rooms themselves are... More

I've said it once and i'll say it again: the grand is just the best. I had a huge room with a fridge and bathtub. Internet fast as lightning and excellent service. Location hasn't changed in 120 years and it shouldn't cause it's the best. I'm a big fan of old hotels with some feel to them and there is... More

Tired, dirty, poor staff, no service after 10, awful decor. Such a shame that this grand emblem of a forgotten past is so poorly run and maintained. Cant get into the 'restaurant' because the (only) waiter is delivering room service. OK - get a drink - ah no - he is also the bartender. With potential for hundreds of guests... More

The Hotel Grand is stuck in a time warp! Is it old renaissance style, communist block or what? This hotel needs to make up its mind what it wants to be. We found the floor was damaged and a trip hazard. In the bathroom the bidet had come away from the wall. The furniture was bad 50’s with a touch... More

This hotel is not quite as grand as it's title suggests! However it was perfectly comfortable, and suited our needs. It is in a very central position with hundreds of restaurants to choose from, although the menu in the hotel looked good too, with a very reasonable range of prices. Because the hotel is situated on a busy street, I... More
