A group of us stayed here during a pottery shopping trip. Being that there were only two hotels in Boleslaweic, we didn't have much choice. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the old hunting lodge transformed into a cozy atmosphere with dried flower arrangements and Polish pottery decor. The room was small but perfect for my husband and me,... More

I recently stayed at Hotel Protea with a friend for a polish pottery trip. We arrived at one o'clock in the morning after a long drive but were greeted by a friendly man at the door. He let us in, helped us get checked in and opened the gated parking area for us. It was a very comfortable two night... More

We spend two nights here while I hunted down as much polish pottery as I could carry. The place is very clean, the beds were great and the staff very friendly. We were traveling with my 3 and 6 yr. boys and needed a large room for all of us and our suitcases. Not a problem. We got a very... More

In my family's opinnion Protea Hotel is a very nice place. Personnel takes a good care of you, and the cuisine is perfect. If you are looking for a traditional hotel in south-eastern Poland you will not be dissapointed. More

and the walls were paper thin. So AC was installed but not working anywhere. Room was smaller than a 1 person room with three beds jammed in, Walls were very thin, so we could hear 1 floor down and next door "nocturnal activity". Breakfast was unimpressive. Staff was friendly. More

I came twice with a group of 8-10 women. The staff was wonderfully friendly, efficient, accommodating, and--yes--English-speaking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is a bit off the beaten track, but not hard to find at all, and all the quieter for it. And the restaurant at the hotel was fantastic. With such a yummy breakfast included in... More

What a nice place to stay. Rooms were a good size, clean and had bathrooms. Hotel had their own shop of pottery, great selection. Also there was a super collection of Russian dolls. I had not seen any handpainted dolls like this that were signed on the bottom before. Great Restaurant serving a nice breakfast that is included. Staff spoke... More

We've stayed at the Protea on several occasions. Basic information can be obtained from the hotel website. Normally, we arrive in the late evening and haven't had any issues with availability of hotel parking. As mentioned in the previous reviews, hotel parking is secure. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No problems with hot water or water pressure in the morning.... More

This is a lovely hotel run by extremely efficient folks! They are warm and friendly and as we arrived were sure to offer any suggestions needed about the area. They offer a secure parking lot for guest vehicles which eased our mind. We stayed in the largest suite they offered because we are a family of five and it was... More

In early Nov. 2006 I stayed at the Protea with four friends over a weekend. We had one triple room and one double. The facilities were brilliant and the price was good. The attached restaurant served delicious Polish meals; the breakfast had lots of variety so it wasn't just continental fare. The location is close to some of the pottery... More
