We were so happy to find lodging in Boleslawiec, Poland, at the last minute and hadn't read anything about Villa Ambasada. Imagine our surprise when we found ourselves in one of the nicest hotels that we've stayed in during our time in Europe (6 months).

While the section of town leaves something to be desired, the accommodations were very clean in what appears to be a newly refurbished home. We parked our car in the secure parking out back, I think that would be necessary.

We stayed in the four person room for our family (2 adults and two young children) and had plenty of space as well as a bathroom in our room. There was a flat-screened TV (Polish channels only, but that's half the fun!) as well as a table and four beds.

There is a bar/restaurant in the basement of the home which is decorated beautifully--I think the owner is a former actor and has a very keen eye for artwork. We ate dinner in the restaurant and couldn't have been happier--my husband... more
