The piano guest house is a wonderful find. I can't agree with many of the comments on the previous rating - I guess it's down to expectations. This family-run home, which it truly is, far exceeded our expectations. Coffee and a warm welcome on arrival, a warm and scrupulously ensuite clean room at the front of the house and fresh... more

This house is very run down and in a run down area - we would not have felt safe walking at night. The bedroom had two single beds about 1' off the ground - like camp beds. The room was at the front of the house with a noisy motorway across the wasteland. I chose the place for its locality... more

We chose the Piano for its central location and reasonable price. It was 15 minutes walk from the old town and we were able to walk most places. It was a little further from the centre than we had anticipated, particularly when returning from a restaurant late in the evening, although the streets were well lit. However, this was reflected... more

My wife and I stayed at this guest house for one week,It was in a very run down area. We felt really uncomfortable there. The rooms were very basic, with very old furniture. On arrival the room was very musty. We had to share breakfast with other guests, and if we asked for extra milk for cereal etc it was brought to us... more

Never having been to Poland we had no idea what to expect, but I doubt we could have experienced a warmer welcome at a big hotel! A plate of cake and jam accompanied by great coffee or a pot of tea is real suprise upon arrival. This is very old building 120+ years old, but that is part of its'... more

All in all, a pretty decent place to stay. It makes a refreshing change to have a free pot of tea and some bread and jam to welcome you. The owners were fairly helpful with information and directions. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was satisfactory and the location is pretty good as well. Considering the price, I... more

We stayed in this guest house for one night due to our plane being grounded by fog, our experience at the airport, so late a night, was softened by the stay at The Piano. The hosts were so obliging friendly, helpful and the house was beautiful. The decor took our breath away. Our room was so big with a lovely... more

WOW – what can we say – a group of 8 ladies stayed here in September/October 2008 for four nights. It was great from start to finish. Tadeusz and his mother picked us up from the airport and on arrival at the Piano Guest House gave us tea/coffee and Polish cake as welcome to Krakow before showing us to our... more

Just returned to the Uk after spending three nights at the Piano Guest House at the end of a four city tour. We received a nice welcome , with drinks and sound advice on where to eat what to do and how to do it! Our room was clean with a very good bathroom towels changed daily. Breakfast was plentiful... more

It's true what the others write-the owners are nice and friendly. Untill you complain. And there's a lot to complain about... Firstly, the neighbourhood is awfull. At one side you're surrounded by highways, at the other-by a cemetery! The neighbour houses are completely devastated and we ask ourself who could live like that. Secondly, the house is really old and... more
