You might be forgiven for thinking the Poleski is a little odd because it has no visible frontage at ground level but you would be mistaken. The entrance is down a small residential road and faces a tall stone wall with no view at all. It is only when you go up to the first floor or beyond that you... More

The hotel is situated beside the river with wonderful views of Wowell Castle. The rooms are warm, cosy, comfortable and very clean. Plenty of hot water, towels and toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was ok - plenty tea and coffee and a choice of cereals, cold meat and salad, scrambled egg and sausages. Something for everyone. The location of... More

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in November 2011. We had read the reviews before we arrived, and were very disappointed to be given room 11 upon arrival! We asked if the hotel was full and, if it wasn’t, if they would change our room to one with a view of the river. They refused, and said... More

This hotel has an excellent location: 15 min to the town square, 5 min to busstop.Very quiet. Great view across river and castle. The room is ok and the bathroom is clean. Breakfast is good but not kept stocked or hot.One morning (7 h) there was no hot water and no bread. After 15 min they served the bread while... More

The Room We booked the hotel through low cost hotels so was a little unsure what the standard of the room would be. Unfortunately we got court out as we only booked a standard room which was room 11 so we didn't have a view. The room was very basic but was clean with a large shower room. The Staff... More

We stayed at the Poleski Hotel in August 2011. We arrived early but were told the room would not be available until 2.00pm so they let us store our cases in a locked room at reception. We had room 11 which to our disappointment had no view of the river so was a bit dreary. The two other couples we... More

The staff at the hotel were great and helpful. The breakfast that came with the stay was good as well. The view from the hotel is beautiful and it’s a good location. Even with all these positive, I would not recommend staying here. The rooms left a little to be desired. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the sheets didn’t... More

Hotel was quiet, clean and tidy. Rooms were spacious with floor length windows to admire the lovely view of Wawel Castle. Staff were very courteous and professional. Dining room was smart, again with great views over the river to the Castle. We were particularly impressed with the breakfasts which were a cut above the standard continental fare - selection of...
