Just back from Kraków. Stayed at the Matejko. Can't say enough good about it. Ideally situated, very clean, large bedroom, breakfast good, had a lunch , equally good, very helpful staff etc. I read in one of the reviews that it lacked a kettle in the bed-room. At the end of my stay I saw two couples acquire kettles from... More

The Matejko is 500 metres from the railway station, bus station and vast Galleria shopping mall, yet would not think so as no noise or distraction from them. The rail link to the airport is closed for upgrading and is due to open again in August 2015.The 292 bus takes 40/45 minutes and costs 4Zl, about 80 pence! The old... More

The Matejko is a basic 3 star hotel very clean and friendly, the self service included breakfast is excellent mainly mixed cold plus hot scrambled eggs and sausages all very fresh, two coffee machines that cater for all tastes, dinner I cannot comment on as it was always empty and not used but there are plenty of restaurants about and... This hotel is in a good district clost to all amenities of the centre of town. A few minutes walk through the florien arch and you are in the middle of it all. The staff are all excellent and go the extra mile to help . Rooms are basic but do have a telly. The toilet and showers are spotless... More

Rooms always clean, and large too. Staff very helpful and attentive (especially to my wifi needs), they all speak English which was a great help (why is it the Poles I meet are always well educated and polite?). Situated 2 mins away from Florian Gate which is 5 mins from town centre and 20 mins from Wawel castle. another 15... More

5 of us are just back from Krakow. The hotel is so central. The staff were great and very helpful. Spacious Rooms and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back. We had a great holiday. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Comfortable room with all the basic requirements. Nothing to complain about. Breakfast fine with plenty of choice. standard European fare of cold meats, cheeses, excellent bread rolls, cereals, fresh fruit, jams and hot scrambled eggs and mini hot dog sausages. Yes the hot drinks machine may mean you have to queue but you will get a decent coffee from it.... More
