A weeks break with 4 friends in this lovely city. The Hotel was an ideal base to stay and was clean comfortable and friendly. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was clean and well presented. Will definitely come again.

The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location almost at the Barbican entrance to the old city. The hotel is warm, clean and welcoming. A standard 3 star hotel. Breakfast was fine but uninspiring as was the room we stayed in. The hotel could up its game very easily - tea and coffee making facilities, better selection of... More

Hotel Matejko was superbly situated for all the sights around the old town and the Market Square. The staff are all amazing - so friendly and really helpful - nothing was too much bother. I e-mailed them before we went to ask about trips and they organised everything for us - we just paid the firm we went with when... More

Such a nice place to stay. Very close to Old Town - Main Square. Around 10-15 min walk. At the same time close to main train station. Clean. Friendly service. Restaurant could be open longer. But would definitely stay next time. Recommend 100%!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights. Can't fault the hotel. The position is perfect, 5 mins from bus and train station, and the same to the main square. The facilities are fine, beds comfy, room warm with windows that actually open if required and a shower with excellent pressure. The breakfast was very good, enough choice for everyone. Staff were... This hotels has only a few flaws! But they had a lovely receptionist who helped us book our trips through the hotel and told us were everything was! It's located in just l nice 10 walk from the town! No noise at night! Lovely view too! But the rooms are a good size! We had a twin single room! Which... More

I can't recommend this hotel for many reasons because: The room didn't have refrigerated. The hotel had a sauna but we could not used. They charged us twice on the tax. And the staff was really unfriendly answering us.

Great location, clean, very good breakfast. Rooms are big, shower is hot with good water pressure. Beds are comfortable. Very reasonable. Nothing fancy but excellent. Hair dryer you have to ask for at front desk. We were a family of four and our room was huge for 350 PLN a night. Book it. Don't over think it!

I will never again come back to this hotel. I was there in the winter and during the night the central heating was turned off. I called the reception desk for help (to turn the heating on or at least give extra blankets, cos it was really, really cold), but I was jeered by the stuff :[. Next day, when... More

The hotel is located within 5 minutes walk of the old town and just 3 minutes from a great shopping mall. It is quite basic but very clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast, served from 06:30 to 10:00, was excellent with hot eggs and sausages as well as an array of salad, ham and cheese.... More
