Okay, now prices have shot up in Kasimierz these last years, so we were very happy to find a reasonalby prices accomodation. and one that was not full of cheap, pseudo-Jewish decor. The staff is helpful and friendly, the room charming and old-fahioned. We walked in in the late afternoon and therefore only got a 2 -bed room that was... more

This hotel in the old Jewish quarter of Krakow offers something different than the standard fare. Most importantly, it's located in a wonderfully historic, lived-in part of town, Kazimierz--an experience in itself. The streets are narrow, and you mingle with residents, not just tourists. This is what all of Krakow and much of urban Europe looked and functioned like 70... more

I have chosen to stay in the most magical part of Krakow this year, the wonderful, atmospheric Jewish district - Kazimierz. All the hotels seemed nice when I was doing my research but as a coeliac on a gluten free diet, I had to be really careful about making my choice. While making enquiries, I found that Hotel Karmel was... more

This hotel is in the Jewish Quarter and about 15 mins from the square - a great place to stay. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. On arrival we booked a trip for 6 of us to go to Auschvitz and then the salt mines. We had a minibus with us the whiole day and guides booked in... more

We were very disappointed with this hotel. I contacted the hotel several months in advance to reserve a room, yet all that was available was a room with twin beds. My wife and I don’t prefer this sleep option, but decided to book the reservation anyway since we were unable to find a suitable room elsewhere. Boy, were we in... more

Just return from our holiday in Krakow. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with our 2 daughters (teenager +) The location is in Kazimierz, about 15 min to walk to the Market Square. There is a lot of nice resturants and bars here, and some of them are very spesial. E.g. Singer Bar who has sewing machines on... more

I stayed here in between apartments over the busy Christmas New Year period. As a single traveller I ended up in a quite small room but it proved perfectly adequate with an excellent internet connection. Breakfasts were excellent and the only fault I would point out is the lack of lift.Still its an opportunity to work that Christmas pudding off. There... more

We spent three nights at Hotel Karmel and were very happy we made this choice. The hotel is in a recently renovated and emerging district for restaurants and bars, and in the heart of the Jewish sites. It is quick and easy to get by foot and tram to Krakow Main Square (maybe 15 minutes). The hotel is on a... more

Just spent 4 days at the Karmel in Krakow, this is a very reasonably priced hotel in the Jewish quarter. It was spotless and the staff were very friendly, although there was no one to help us carry our bags up the four flights of stairs to our rooms. The rooms were tiny although the bathrooms were new and spacious.... more

Stayed in the comfort suite and really liked it! Bathroom was great, A/C worked to a charm, room was large but cute. Kind of wished we had stayed in the Old Town area, but it was no problem at all getting up there...maybe a 20 minute walk to the square with the Castle half that. The morning breakfast was very... more
