WE stayed at this hotel in the summer. After initially being sent to the diner, we found our way to the hotel, The hotel is well positioned and has good facilities for a 3 star hotel. All of the fixtures and fittings are up to date and the rooms and beds were clean. The breakfast is not much to write... more

We were attracted to the restaurant (did not stay in the hotel) by their extensive list of pierogi. Most of them are are just a marketing stint as Poles eat 4 main varieties (with mushrooms, cabbage & mushrooms, meat and so called Ruskie - with cheese). The menu looked promising, but the waitress could not remember our order and kept... more

This restaurant in the Kazimierz advertises "probably the best pierogi in the world". Now, I haven't sampled polish dumplings the world over, but I can say that they were the best pierogi I had in Krakow. Beetroot soup with croquette was delish too. Funky, quirky decor and friendly service. more

Stayed for 3 days at the end of our holiday, room was large & airy, food good, location good ,staff very pleasant. On a main road, but if you weren't directly overlooking it there was no noise problem. Only downside was that we had to pay to park our hire car in a nearby public car park. Ideally placed between... more

We were really concerned when we read all of the bad reviews the hotel awiw seems to have, and weren't expecting much, but when we got there we were amazed at what good value for money it was. The hotel was lovely, the staff spoke excellent english and could not do enough to help, the rooms were big, beds warm... more

There are better located hotels for same price. The rooms are very noisy when the trams start running about 6am. There is a tram junction just across the road from the hotel. They also make the building shake. more

We didn't book the Hotel Awiw but were transferred there when our room at the RT Regent wasn't available due to damage being caused by a group of men on a stag party! The Regent apologised and said they had booked us into another hotel. They ordered a taxi for us which they paid for. The check-in process was quick... more

ok rest assaured we are not people looking for a 5star hotel at three star prices, neither are we light sleepers. But we ended up in a room over looking the main intersection. It was hot and despite requesting a room at the back with air con we got neither. So at 5am every morning we were woken with the... more

We had a 3 night stay in January 2007 at the AWIW hotel in Krakow. We booked this hotel based on reviews from Trip Advisor. It was excellent value for money, modern, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was a great start to the the day with a wide choice. There was a mini... more
