8 of us stayed in this hotel in February. The rooms were beautifully decorated , very spacious and very clean. The staff were very helpful all of the time, the porter was especially helpful in helping us with directions and questions. The hotel has the best location in Krakow and is right on the main square. Great value for money... more

I stayed at the Grand Hotel for my entire stay in Krakow (nine nights) and found it quite pleasant. Check-in: Not bad. I took a taxi from the airport, spontaneously showed up around 3:00PM, and was met by staff in the doorway. A brief sign-in at the front desk was followed by a quick tour of the hotel and then... more

We were a tad wary of what to expect having read some reviews of the Hotel. Don't be; the location is fantastic for walking around the Old Town, and the hotel rooms were very clean & well serviced. We found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. For the convenience of location you do have to accept that you... more

This hotel is wonderfully located near the main square. Its public rooms are elegant but faded. Our bedroom was 15A - beware - it is situated next to the hotel's function room and is separated by a large opaque window so that all the noise is transmitted through to the bedroom in the early hours of the morning! The staff... more

From the miserable greeting on my arrival to the attempt to overcharge on my departure my stay at the Grand was not to be repeated..Old rock hard too small towels..rooms whose grandeur has long since faded...tv with only Polish language available and crap reception..staff without a smile between them..totally unhelpful when I asked how to book a trip to Auschwitz..then... more

An elegant hotel with spotless rooms & pleasant, friendly staff. The location is ideal - literally a few steps from the Market Square in the Old Town. We have just returned a few hours ago .... to chilly , windy Brussels - from sun- soaked Krakow (27°c when we left early this afternoon) Agreat time to visit a beautiful city... more

Thank God for hotels like this which are a far cry from the bland modern chains in which you could easily forget you've travelled to a different country. It's old school grandeur and wonderful Polish hospitality in abundance. It has a certain 'faded glamour' charm to it, which in no way detracts from what it has to offer. There's nothing... more

This is our third visit to this hotel and little has changed. The staff were very amiable, pleasant, and helpful, the hotel very clean and exuded charm of a bygone age, including the plumbing. There were no problems with the water in the morning, which was hot and plentiful, but when we wished to shower about 5.00pm, the water was... more

I stayed at Grand recently and I was very pleased. Even though it is an older hotel with room to improve, I was very satisfied with service, comfort ofd the room, food. The hotel has a lot of charm of the old world and perfect location. I highly recommend it and we stay there next year again. more
