It is a 4 star hotel. If you know this when you book your room, you will not be desappointed. So do not expect a five star spa and gym, nor a 5 star breakfast. Bathroom needs renovation, as well as towels and beddings. The staff can hardly be nicer! All of the hotel employees are helpful and kind. Service... More

This once very beautiful building has mellowed and aged like a grand and beautiful older woman. The bones of the place- the architecture, lighting and stairs, look much the same as I am sure they did 60 years ago. Unfortunately, the furnishings, curtains and carpet of the main areas have deteriorated. The building spans a block and has a very... More

I'm afraid I was disappointed as I paid a lot of money to stay here and I have stayed at other hotels in Krakow for less than half the price with a much, much bigger room and equally as central. I am happy with faded, old world charm but unless they do something a bit more luxurious then I don't... More

I travel for a work around a lot of countries and stay in various hotels, My stay in Krakow has had me staying in two different hotels not unusual. Three nights in each before coming to the Grand Hotel I stayed at the Radison Blu, Say what you will about them but you get what you expect well dressed accommodation.... More

Elegant surroundings. Spacious room. Beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff all speaking English. Clean. Friendly. Wifi. Right next to the Market Square with restaurants and shops and Christmas Market. Staff arranged outings to Zakopane and other places. Arranged transport to and from the airport. Everything was made easy. Stay in the wonderful hotel.

The hotel is in a palatial building, in a great location, very near the main square. Its plus is the location, the structure of the building, and the kindness of personnel. However, the general tone of the hotel is not luxury, there are various details to improve, and their is renovation needed. The atmosphere is austere, not luxurious.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel from 23rd to 27th December 2014. Overall, the hotel was pretty good. The only things that there are to point out are fairly minor. But first lets start with the good. Great location: about a minute's walk to the Market Square Rooms: Lovely rooms, very well maintained Staff: very friendly, very accommodating. Food: Breakfast... More

The Grand certainly is a grand hotel. It is just a short work from the main square of Krakow, where the famous Sukiennicy market + hundreds (not an exaggeration!) of churches, many restaurants & cafes (traditional & modern) are situated. Plus the whole area is crammed full of history. The food at the hotel was very good although the breakfast... More

Great hotel clean and within walking distance to everything, the staff are fantastic helpful and kind all of them, one small downfall it can get a bit noisy at times...so if you stay here try to get a quiet room if possible...

Nice old hotel. Very near the square, so perfect to walk to the great shops and restaurants. Big rooms with a little bit old furnitures, but thats nice. Clean bathroom. Ok breakfast. The personal were so nice! Help us book table in a good Argentine restaurang. And told us where to go in town. Very nice town! Good shops, and... More
