We were booked into this hotel on our Intrepid Tour. Our room (Nr 4, almost ground level, facing street with a tram stop just across from the hotel) was spacious and comfortable. There were only two problems: - no air conditioning over the hot summer days we were in Krakow - dilemma of whether to open window to street noise... More

Spent two nights on this hotel in mid July. The hotel is old, but room was clean. No air conditioning, and impossible to keep the windows open during night because of noise from traffic, particularly the tram which went by every 5th minute or so. Ask for a room not facing the streets if possible. Breakfasts were good and staff... More

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel with a group of friends. The location is absolutely perfect. Basically you are across the street from a park that leads into the old town, near the bus and train station and just around the corner from the bus that takes you to the salt mines. Our room was very well... More

Arrived yesterday to my dismay...the room has no A/C and it is quite hot. So I asked for a fan....room still very hot, and was difficult to sleep. Other problem is the curtains do not block out the double set of extra bright street lights at night. Thank goodness the windows block the street noise (when closed) but are the... More

Fantasic hotel with regards location and expectations. Porter was available on check in to help with the bags and lift. Breakfast was good quality with a variety of hot and cold, with other things such as cake etc. The room was large and tall, quite basic, with an immaculate bathroom, which is all one could want when in a city... Four very good friends went to Krakow for a birthday! We chose the Polonia hotel because it was reasonably priced and centrally located. We reviewed this on trip adviser before the holiday and there were mixed reviews. The hotel is fairly old fashioned but the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is average but there is a large selection... More

I was in Krakow on a busy weekend and my first two choices were unavailable. I love this location - being next to the train station is my perfect spot, so I won't fault Polonia for being in the best part of town. The building is old, with a lot of charm. It's quaint, but it's not modern. Doors don't... More

Stayed in the central suite 3rd floor and had a brilliant time. Restaurant at the polonia is the best value in Town. Breakfasts are terrific and the staff are wonderful = really helpful Trams rumble and the hotel shakes a bit when they pass - so if you are looking for a hotel in the centre of a busy city... More

Our room was facing the courtyard, so noise was not a problem. Food was good. Location was the best. Decor: Faded glory. One of the rare hotels in Poland that has an elevator. When I asked the desk to call a cab to the airport, their first response was to call the expensive, 80 PLN option. I asked for a... More
