I have recently returned from Krakow with my partner, and we both had such a good time, I couldn't wait to share my experience. The hotel Francuski is like taking a step back in time. It is a very old hotel, but is well kept, and if you like old this is the place to be. the hotel has such... More

Very Olde Worldie with its red carpet and grand staircase although a bit tired looking and in need of redecorating. Having said that it was very clean and breakfast was good even though we had to ask and wait for bacon and eggs each morning. Rooms were good (again clean but in need of redecoration). A bit noisy late at... More

I immediately loved this hotel the moment the door was opened for me and I walked into the main reception room. Looking past the grand father clock to the sweeping stairs which are carpeted in a vivid Red. This hotel was once the best in town and it tells a story, one it is easy to see it. It is... More

We only stayed here for one night after our flight was cancelled and we couldn't go home until the next day, we got great deal. On arrival the receptionist was very helpful, she even printed our new boarding passes off the computer for us!! VERY HELPFUL! Great big queen size bed, not the comfiest but nothing is as good as... I thought it was kinda fun being over hundred years old that in its hey day must have been quite a luxurious place but the luke warm hot water and the old world atmosphere didn't appeal to the girlfriend. I would recommend going though I'd you get a deal as the location is very good.

The location was perfect for our daytrip to explore the old town of Krakow. We had a large and clean room and I loved breakfast as it offered some typically Polish stuff as well as regular food. The interior was probably not really worthy of 4 stars but you could tell that they did their best to make everything look... More

Lots of charm and character. Good sized room although dated decor and furnishings. Large bathroom, very old fashioned with lots of gold trimmings. Room on front of hotel proved VERY rowdy overnight although unclear who/what was the source of the noise as the area is generally very quiet. Good location for access to station and town square. Longer walk to... More

My daughter and I visited Krakow during Easter of 2013. We were so happy we decided upon the Gessler Hotel Francuski. The staff is very accommodating, rooms are clean, spacious and very old world charming, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Location was ideal. Walking distance to shopping, cathedrals/churches, the town center. Lovely, lovely hotel!

where to begin? hotel francuski is in a perfect spot only a couple of minutes away from the old town square. It has an air of genteel shabby chic about it. i found it totally charming and quirky, so much nicer than a souless modern hotel. The staff were all lovely and very proffesional ,myself and my daughter stayed in... More

My husband and I disagreed on the assessment of this hotel. I thought it charming and delightful, while he thought its best days were years ago and in need of updating. I guess we are both right in many ways. I love the Old World ambience, but have to admit, AC would have been appreciated. He was disappointed that wash... More
