the good: - location. on the barbican side of the old city, a five minute walk to the town square, easy access to bus and tram stations, a short walk to the krakow glowny - old world grandiose style decorations both in the lobby and roomsgrandiose. well maintained. like a step back in time after all the staying at modern... We recently had a 3 night stay here - the hotel is over 100 years old and has a lot of "old" touched to it, which gives it a lot of character. It is a bit worn, but it is clean & comfortable. Water bottles are supplied in the room for each night as the tap water in Krakow is... More

We were a couple staying in a three-room apartment and it was the finest room we've ever rented! The hotel is over 100 years old and has a classy old style. The breakfast is the only thing keeping it from getting 5/5 but it was decent. The staff (except from an old grumpy lady-receptionist) was really nice, and there was... More

Founded in 1912, this hotel was able to preserve its original charm while staying comfortable enough for modern day travellers. Bathrooms are renovated and elevators are new. But everything else is almost as initially designed. Wifi was a bit flimsy even in the lobby (but free of charge).

A great, traditional hotel with a heart! I was visited Poland back in May with my Grandfather who is originally from Poland, and we were both made to feel extremely welcome here! The breakfast is simple but great. I stayed alone in krakow for a couple of days after my Grandfather had left and I was made to feel at... More

I stayed here recently when in Krakow. It was very convenient for the old square and the train station being a few minutes from from either. I liked staying here because the hotel still retains an olde world charm. I can imagine that when it was built it was probably one of the best hotels of its day. It has... More

Very good, traditional hotel with real "soul". Atmosphere of the past is on every single corner :-) No hot meals for breakfast on the bufet - only for request. Otherwise very good service and meal quality.

Superb location, within walking distance to the main square, cathedral, palace, university etc. Most attractions are in the surrounding areas We were given 2 adjoining rooms since we are a family of 4. The rooms were large and airy, bathrooms were large too. Quite unusual for Europe. The fittings and fixtures were all old fashioned, though clean and well maintained.... More
