Visiting Krakow for the weekend and took a friend's advice to have lunch at the Francuski Hotel. It is a very elegant, turn of the century restaurant with white-glove service. VERY REASONABLY PRICED. For 20 PLN we had soup, pork roast, potato dumplings, red cabbage and dessert. A pleasant dining experience away from the hustle and bustle of the Rynek... More

Yes the doorposts and the paint job may be a bit worn out but it doesn't matter as this is a hotel full of character. Every piece of the hotel suggests that it's been there for ever and it glows of history. 40 years of Communism hasn't managed to tear this away although it has left some signs. The front... More

We felt transported to another era in this hotel, with fancy staircases, woodwork and decor. We had a jr suite so extra comfortable. Breakfast buffet was OK. Wifi was very unreliable in the room but very strong in business center, lobby and a sitting room on the first floor. Staff was very formal, attentive and helpful. When I inquired about... More

Everything feels like a different era, room decor, the way personnel is dressed and how formal they are. Some are friendlier which is nice. Great breakfast, good location, quiet environment. Wifi does not work in the rooms. Old tv. I would recommend for location and breakfast.

I stayed here for 3 nights in June of 2014. The lobby has a beautiful staircase. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. I was especially impressed with the size of the bathroom and all of the counter space. Often times, in European hotels, there is nowhere to put your toiletries but there was an... More

We have just returned from a 5 day trip to Krakow. This hotel is fantastic. We were welcomed warmly upon arrival by the concierge and the service throughout our stay was outstanding. The hotel is a masterpiece. It is immaculately clean and our room was a good size with a very comfy bed. We had no issue with the water... More

If there was a Motel 6 from 1912, I hazard a guess it would be this experience. The hotel isn't bad, it's just very average with a really nice staircase in the middle. That said, it's location is excellent. The parts of the hotel from 1912 are kind of cool, it's all the other really old stuff that has been... More

This hotel is really old, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is a lot of character in this hotel and it is in an excellent location just down the street from the main square. We stayed in this hotel in August and it was extremely hot in the rooms and there is no air conditioning like most European... More

Not the best. We and my3 friends just spent a long weekend here. Despite booking months ago on arrival we were told that there wasn't a room for 2 of us.The previous occupants were supposedly sick. We had to stay in another hotel for a night. The sickness thing I suspected was a rouse as my bag had "overbooked" placed... More
