Having stayed at the Olimp recently we found the staff very accommodating, the rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The 'on site' Restaurant on the Ground Floor was limited menu but met out needs. There is the use of a secure small Conference room, with WiFi that could hold up 30 people opposite the Reception.

As a trainee at AGH, I stayed almost 3 month in Olimp (Tanie) Hostel at three different floors (3, 6, and 7). Price: 1200 pln/month for a single room with shared "kitchen" and bathroom. Kitchen is not equippet and therefore not usable. Bathroom is ok, but not really clean. Cleaning service included, but useless (appear around once a month and... More

More of a hotel than a hostel, OLIMP surpassed my expectations and then some. My only gripe would be the slightly less-than-central location, but this is nitpicking and taxis are so cheap in Poland it doesn't make a difference anyway. Reception was always polite and helpful, and always booked us taxis when asked to do so. Rooms were (like everywhere... More

I had to visit Krakow for a conference earlier in August and was booked to stay at Olimp hostel. The room was clean and tidy, toilets were nice and clean as well. The location of the hostel is absolutely brilliant; close to the city center with bus and trams stops close-by. There is also a small shopping center at walking... More

After the renovation of Dormitory Olimp, everything change inside. From one of the crepiest to one of the most beautiful dormitories to stay. DS Olimp is exactly in the City of AGH (the dormitories of university AGH) where you can drink alcohol and make a grill legal, and only 10 minutes tram ride to city center. I stayed in this... More

Basic student campus accommodation now doing duty as a hostel. The main point to be aware of is that rooms share a bathroom with the immediate neighbour (at least, I assume they all do, since we asked to have a private bathroom, which Olimp achieved by leaving the adjacent room unoccupied). We were in 309A. Hot and cold water unpredictable... More

These ex-dorms are clean and include a kitchenette and bathroom which are shared with only one other room. The hostel is at a walkable distance from town and is adjacent to a bus (tickets are cheap). However, the lack of air conditioning is a problem in high summer, and allows many bugs in the room at night. With windows open... More

This is a typical student dorm, so if you're ok with that, then it's fine. However, the rooms have no ac and there are a lot of bugs at night. Since the area is populated by students, you can typically hear their druken carousing at night. All that is relatively tolerable. The insufferable factor is that the front desk people... More
